It was Christmas Eve, and Penn, Sashi, and Boone were arriving at the theater for a mission before Christmas. Next door, Larry and Rippen were going to check in as the Part-Time Villain and Minion. However, Larry (for a change) wasn't really interested that it was Christmas time, mostly because of his defeat from last year (as the gingerbread villain).

Once both sides are zapped in, Penn, Sashi, and Boone immediately realize what the dimension was like: Sashi had long, blonde hair with a white gown, Boone had long hair, a beard, a wreath on his head, and a fuzzy green robe, and Penn wore a long, black cloak and wasn't able to talk.

Boone: Whoa, I've seen all this before, we're in the best Christmas story ever, A Christmas Carol.

Sashi (checking her specs): You got it, Boone. I'm the Ghost of Christmas Past, you're Christmas Present, and Penn is Christmas Yet-to-Come. So in-tune with the story, our mission is to reform Rippen, who is Scrooge, before morning.

Boone: Sashi, what necessarily happens if we fail the mission?

Sashi: If we fail, Scrooge will still hate Christmas. So much, that he'll write a book to campaign against it!

Boone: Of course, when Dickens wrote A Christmas Carol, it helped encourage Christmas spirit in Victorian England and still does today. If that changes because of Rippen, there's no telling what could happen.

Meanwhile, Rippen zapped in as Scrooge and Larry as Marley. Rippen knew the story, so he knew when to expect the 1st spirit. When Sashi appeared, she took Rippen not through Scrooge's past, but his own. Rippen started reliving parts of his life before becoming a Part-Time Villain. He started to find some long-lost joy, but nonetheless, used his past forms to fight Sashi, who put up a real rough fight.

At 2, Boone came in as the Ghost of Christmas Present. He takes Rippen through the present-day town and what a merry Christmas it is. He continues to make jokes until the end, where he reveals the 2 scary children under his robe; Want (Girl) and Ignorance (Boy). Rippen is too frightened to fight.

Then, Penn comes in as the Ghost of Christmas Future.

Rippen: I know 'who' you're supposed to be, but I believe it's you Penn Zero.

Penn (nodding): Yes.

Penn shows Rippen the future of the city and that he'll be unloved and forgotten, with someone else replacing him as a Part-Time Villain. Rippen is slightly hurt by this, but figured he'd be remembered as a villain if he beats Penn. Throughout the visions, Penn and Rippen duel with each other up until they come to a graveyard. Rippen knew this was the part where he saw his grave and wasn't afraid to see it, it was what was next to it that spooked him. Larry was dead too (apparently by pity and suicide) and buried right next to him. This wasn't how Rippen wanted to die; spending eternity next to Larry, dead or alive.

Rippen: Please tell me this can change, Penn. I'll honor Christmas in my heart and keep it all year long. The spirits of the past, present, and future will all dwell within my soul. I won't shut out the lessons they've taught me, especially not the painful ones.

Mission accomplished: Rippen re-embraced Christmas despite his 2 Christmas defeats and Penn, Sashi, Boone had a happy holidays, knowing that once again, they saved Christmas.
