Author's Notes:

1) This story was originally a fanfiction posted on what used to be Quizzilla, but was taken down once Quizzilla went under. Because I could not recover the story in time, everything was initially lost. I am rewriting the entire story from memory.

2) While it is a Xiaolin Showdown fanfiction, it is primarily focused on Chase Young. I wrote the story initially to provoke at the true evil and darkness that I believed existed in Chase Young, but the creators of the show were creating a children's cartoon.

3) This story is extremely graphic, dark, violent, and tackles mature subjects such as rape, abuse, death, and drug addiction. It also is heavily focused on murder and violence, with much gore and graphic details. I am inspired by authors such as Stephen King and Jack Ketchum, so my writing style will try to mimic theirs as much as possible. If at any point you are disgusted or disturbed by my writing, you are free to skip ahead or stop reading this at any point.

4) I'm pretty certain that at any point this story will get pulled and no longer be available. Should that happen, you are free to contact me and I will send you the original copy. You can contact me through Private Messaging on here, as well as at my many other affiliates; (email) lizlucas5 at , (Facebook) lizlucas619, (Twitter) at lizlucas_writer, (WattPad) LizLucas, (DeviantArt) Liz-sama, and (WordPress) The Lorelei Chronicles.

5) I love reviews and followers. If you are enjoying the story or have an opinion, please review and leave me your comment. Thank you.

Preface

I fell into the sky.

If only it were the case. Lying on the cool grass-it tickled my face, instead of the irritating itch that something was crawling on me-I stared into the vast darkness that twinkled with thousands upon millions of wondering eyes. They all stared back down at me, as I stared back.

My head spun. My breath paused in my chest.

Did I dare breathe?

It baffled me. This was the first time that I couldn't sense "them." I couldn't feel "them."

As though no longer with me, "they" disappeared into the abyss surrounding me.

When I tried to call on "them", a piercing ache split down from my crown to the base of my neck... where the blood still stuck to my flesh, clinging with resilience.

He struck me on my crown.

I was unaware of what he was capable of, what he could do.

I never met anyone like him. He wasn't Human, that's for sure.

He could see "them". He could anticipate "them". I was helpless against him... At his control...

The wind picked up. The cold air caressed my skin, but didn't cause the shivers rolling through my soul. Deep, penetrating, cutting off at the vital spots in my body.

He was near. I could feel him.

His breathing matched mine. Hesitant, but calm. Easily escaping with little to no reserve. But there was something else in that pace... in those misty breaths that lingered in the air...

He was here to finish the job.

I was going to die, here, under those watchful stars.

My eyes shifted so I could see his face, which was concealed in the dark. But his honey colored eyes glowed brilliant light in the distant.

Staring straight into mine.

Into my blood red jewels...
