Magnus Bane was sure he had cast the spell correctly. There was no way in hell that he could have messed it up and somehow cast it on Alec, since he couldn't find him now.
Had he teleported Alec to a different place? Or maybe he had been turned invisible? Magnus couldn't tell, and frankly, it was making him worry even more. The High Warlock was now checking his apartment for any traces of his boyfriend, but wasn't finding anything, except for his stele.
"Alec? Alec, where are you?" Magnus called, walking around his apartment, trying to find the Shadowhunter.
He was around here somewhere, and he knew it.
The warlock noticed Chairman Meow purring on the couch, and his glossed lips curled into a smile. But then his gaze turned to the black ball of fur next to the grey tabby cat, his eyes widening in confusion.
"Well well well, who are you?" Magnus asked, holding a long fingered hand over the other cat. That was when it looked up.
The little cat had a sweet face, with a little pink nose and large eyes, with an adorable cat smile. The feline resting next to his own had messy black fur, which almost caused Magnus to pick up the cat and cuddle it. He found it to be very cute. It then opened its big eyes.
They were a bright blue, just like Alec's. "I should be looking for Alec. . ." He said to himself, but then the cat jumped over to him and sat on his thigh, purring.
"Hm. . .where could he be?" He thought as he looked down at the feline.
It meowed quietly, rubbing its head against Magnus's hand. It seemed that all cats loved him, so this wasn't anything new.
"Do you know where Alec is?" He asked, petting its head gently, receiving many purrs from the cat. It had its eyes closed until Magnus uttered the name Alec. Then the cat started meowing, almost as if it was trying to speak.
The warlock's eyes then met with the cats, and he smiled a bit.
"If you know what happened to Alec, meow." He said simply, leaning back against the couch, smirking.
"Meow!" The small cat said, two little white paws resting on Magnus's hand.
"Well, I'm happy that I can actually do that whole transformation spell, but. . .how do I turn you back. . .?"
The warlock seemed to be contemplating how he was going to turn his boyfriend back, and he petted the little cats head. He had once thought of having a cat with black fur and blue eyes, but this wasn't exactly his wish.
