So, this is officially my first time in a long time posting anything here. But, when you have a good Klaine idea you share it. So, with that said. This are a few warnings. This is going to be slightly AU. I'll try and keep most things as true to character as possible, but this is Stalker!Blaine...so things are going to have to change some to fit into the story. With that, sometimes the characters will be OOC. I mean, it's just going to happen, but again, it's something that has to happen for the sake of the story. This is also very much Klaine. So, if you don't like male/male relationships then leave (and what were you doing looking at Klaine things anyway?).
The first couple of chapters are also going to be pretty tame, but I imagine there will be a lot of smut to it later. That's just how my brain works. So if you stat reading and wonder why it's such a high rating...that's why. Give them time to get there. Now, the Disclaimer: I don't own Glee, Kurt, Blaine, or any of the other people, objects, places, or anything associated with Glee. And, the original idea for Stalker!Blaine belongs to MetropolitanPrincess. So, I really suggest you go and read her story, You Can't Leave Me, too! i just liked the idea and wanted an excuse to write Klaineage. Seriously.
Kurt stood at the entrance to the changing rooms waiting on Rachel to come out. Being the friend he was all the outfits she tried on had to meet his approval before he would allow her to even consider buying them. Being in New York allowed them both access to the latest and greatest in fashion. So, when they made their plans to travel they knew they would have to set aside a day to gather all the latest trends. That was what they had spent the whole morning doing, making the hours tick away as they waited for their show time to get closer.
It was still a little mind-boggling to Kurt that he was currently in New York City, let alone in an actual Alexander McQueen store, but he was, and he was eternally thankful to Rachel and her dads for letting him come along on this trip. He never thought that was why Rachel was approaching him before Glee club a couple of weeks before their winter break. As it turned out, Rachel's dads bought her and a friend a trip to New York. They even got tickets for two different Broadway shows. He was the lucky person that she invited along. When he asked why he was met with a slightly rushed, slightly incoherent answer that involved something about 'NYADA' and 'understanding Broadway'.
So, as soon the actual holidays were over, Kurt and Rachel boarded their plane and left Lima to spend two full weeks in New York. From the time they landed until now the two of them were having the time of their lives. Kurt continued to think about everything with a far away look in his eyes until Rachel walked out of the changing room causing him to snap out of his revere. Instantly he took in what she was wearing and let out am groan, hand flying up to the pinch the bridge of his nose.
"Rachel? What did I tell you? The red shirt goes with that outfit not the black one!" Kurt scoffed, his arms gesturing at the outfit she had thrown on. "Really, it's amazing how uncoordinated you are for a girl."
Rachel's eyes narrowed and she let out an exasperated groan. "Kurt, it doesn't look that bad. I'm old enough to dress myself, and I happen to think this shirt looks the best."
Eyes roamed over the streets. At the hustle and bustle of the city. Even though the holiday's were over the city was still busy, though he didn't remember a time when New York wasn't filled with busy people. So, it quickly became a past time to people-watch when he was there. The great thing about it was there was never a section of the city that wasn't constantly busy. Therefore, he could wander around wherever he pleased.
That's when he saw him walking down the street, dressing in only the best, most trendy outfit, brown hair perfectly styled, and blue eyes bright and sparkling with excitement. He was in deep conversation with the girl he had his arm linked with. Judging by the looks on their faces- his triumph, hers unbridled defeat- he had just won some kind of argument. He was truly a sight to behold. Oh, and the way he swung his hips as the two of them walked down the street. It was enough to make anyone fall in love instantly. When his legs kicked into autopilot and started down the road after the pair, he didn't question it. He just followed them wanting to see more for the boy.
The pair walked down the street pointing, laughing, and all around having a good time. It was easy to tell that they weren't used to being in such a big city. All of the bright signs would captivate their attention and then cause them to lean into one another and whisper excitedly or dance about with broad, sharp hand gestures. And always more laughter would follow. Not that it was bad thing. Laughter made those blue eyes light up in ways even the sun and city lights couldn't.
Then suddenly, the two of them darted across the street and straight into a music store. Of course, they should have known that they weren't going to loose him that easily. He wasn't going to loose him that easily. He was easily the most interesting person to have been in New York. Not that they knew he was following. Once the traffic was stopped he made his way into the store, too. Hazel eyes immediately skimming through the store, but it didn't take long to find where they were. Over in the sheet music. They must be part of a vocal group of some kind.
Kurt's fingers flipped though the pages of Wicked sheet music, deep in thought. Finally, he closed the book and turned to Rachel who was flipping through the Funny Girl music book.
"What do you think?" He asked her holding up the book so that glossy black, green, and white picture of Elphaba and Glenda faced Rachel. "I mean, I know that we do amazing on the songs, but I was thinking about getting it for Glee club. Mr. Schue could definitely use more of a variety in sheet music. If we have to do another Journey song..."
Nodding, Rachel laughed. They loved Glee club and their teacher, but they also had the need to to be themselves and sing the songs they saw as part of their destiny. "I know what you mean, but how about the songs from Funny Girl? I mean, Barbra is my idol and it's my destiny to play at least one fo her roles. And seeing as everything about Funny Girl describes me, I think it would be the most appropriate."
A Rachel rant. Fantastic, Kurt thought as he rolled his eyes. Knowing Rachel this could go on for hours. And they didn't have hours to kill anymore, so Kurt decided to interject before they got mad at each other. Then the rest of their trip would be filled with uncomfortable silence.
"How about we get both for Glee club?" He asked, plucking the book out of Rachel's hands and settling it in with the one already in his arms.
"Kurt, I'm the single most brightest star at McKinley." Rachel continued only to stop a few seconds later realizing what Kurt told her through her monologue. "Yeah. You're right. Getting both would be a lot better. Then there will be more solos I could have."
"Only if you beat me first." Kurt replied with his signature smirk. "You know my voice is perfect for Defying Gravity, and the only reason you got the solo the last time was because I let you have it."
"Kurt Hummel, I knew there was a reason why I liked you."
Hooking her arm with Kurt's once again, they made their way to the checkout, passing an isle with someone a few inches shorter than Kurt in it. He had dark prefect curls that were gelled back with more gel than Kurt would have allowed him to use. His hazel eyes were studiously looking over a couple different CD's. Well, they did for a few seconds, but then they locked with Kurt's blue orbs. Then the dark haired boy dropped his eyelid in a quick, playful wink before returning his eyes to the CD's. The resounding blush that bloomed on Kurt's cheeks was instant and it made him gasp almost too loudly, making Rachel stop and look at him.
"Is something wrong?" She asked her eyes following Kurt's gaze to the other guy.
"No, I'm fine." Kurt replied with a shake of his head, pulling Rachel along with him to the checkout. The two of them paid for their things and then left the store. Once outside Kurt released a breath he didn't knew he had been holding. Who knew a stranger could be so intense. It shook him to his core and made it impossible to shake the feeling that he was still being watched. Luckily, Rachel tugged on his arm, getting his attention.
"Come on, Kurt. It's time for us to go and get ready. We're going to Broadway tonight! My dads' treat." Then the two of them were off, the mention of Broadway instantly erasing any weird feelings Kurt had.
What Kurt didn't know was that his instincts were correct. Hazel eyes followed him to the checkout, out of the store, and watched until they were out of sight. Then the CD's were set beack down and the dark haired boy exited the store with a smile on his face. He was definitely the cat who got the cream thanks to a loud mouthed brunette.
"Kurt Hummel." He said, letting the name roll off his tongue.
