Kryptonite Kisses
Chapter One
Life was hell for Lois Lane, and so was her love life. Oliver Queen, the hottest guy she'd ever seen, let alone dated, had broken up with her. Well she did the breaking up, but she just couldn't stand anymore rain checks or random disappearances the moment things got interesting. So here it was, Valentines Day, the most romantic day of the year and she was dateless.
Things could be worse… she thought, I could be Clark. Clark Kent the man of mystery, good ol' Smallville was probably having a mental breakdown this very moment. She sighed as she put the invitation to the engagement party in her purse. Lex Luther, Clark's worst enemy was marrying the love of Clark's miserable life the lovely Miss Lana Lang.
"Evil hoe" she muttered then clamped her hands over her mouth shocked at what she had just said. Why would she say that about Lana? Maybe it was because of how she keeps managing to hurt Clark with every move she makes. Oh great now you're delusional. Why else could she not stop thinking about Clark?
"Either way, I'm going to stay clear of all things valentiney." Lois said as she looked at herself in the mirror. God Lois, you're a reck. She eyed her bed enviously, maybe she could just sleep the rest of the day. NO! You can do it Lo! Just because you're sad over Ollie does not mean you can spend your whole life all broody like Clark. "There's that name again" she murrmered and began to redo her hair.
*Knock Knock Knock*
"Jimmy you here already?" Lois calls toward the door as she grabbed her purse and went to open it. Supposedly she and Jimmy were going to go work on a few stories, but Jimmy had been acting strange ever since she'd agreed to go. Almost giggly. He was for sure plotting something, but she didn't know what exactly.
"Lois hurry up, you are going to miss the par- err story!" Jimmy yelled through the door. Crap he'd almost ruined it. This is great! I f Chloe comes through and brings Clark here as she said, then we can ditch the two here….. Together. They'll have to realize that they would be good together what with the huge lovey dovey atmosphere.
"What was that?" Lois asked as she opened the door. Oh no he was not about to say party was he? Lois was half tempted to just shut that door right now and go back to that lovely tub of Ben and Jerry's waiting in the freezer. Man up Lois, you probably heard him wrong. Besides, even if your instincts are correct and he is trying to pull something, you'll always have a reason to hit him. Lois smiled suddenly at that thought. "Come'n lets go!"
