~A Cure for All Ills~

Jesse was tired, and frustrated but mostly tired. Singing, constant attacks by overeager fans, strong headed producers who wanted to schedule everything back to back to "stay on schedule"… he was about ready to break something. Worse yet, he hasn't seen his beloved Regina since this morning. Right now, he just wanted his honey bunny and a warm bed.

He ran a hand through his hair as he opened the front door of the Rabbits' home. He flopped face first into the sofa, ungracefully but not really giving a hoot. Just then, like an angel, tiny hands rubbed the back of his ears, soothing the headache behind them. Jesse flung an arm out, catching a small waist, and pulled a giggling body underneath him. Soft laughter filled his ears as the redhead buried his face into his beloved's chest, arms holding her close.

"Jumpin' jeepers, Jesse. Rough day?"

The singer didn't bother to answer, too busy inhaling his wife's sweet scent, savoring the feel of her soft fur. This was where he belonged, where he was happy- surrounded by Regina and every piece of home. Regina slid down to kiss him, before sliding out from under him. Tugging on his arm, she said, "Come on. The bed's more comfortable." Groaning, Jesse stood up, scooping up his rabbit to keep her close, and walked to their bedroom. Regina laughed as she undid his glove caps, pulling the purple material off and dropping it to the floor, and unbuttoned his shirt. Along with his jacket, it hit the floor just as he crossed the bedroom's threshold.

He dropped his amazing wife onto the mattress, giving a small smile when she bounced and laughed happily. Jesse kicked off his shoes, while Regina undid her box and pulled off her gloves, skimming out of her overall dress, leaving her in her blue shirt and black tap shorts. She opened her arms, hands making a grabby gesture, a smile on her adorable face.

And just like that, Jesse Rabbit felt his heart give a funny little jump, and falling into the essence of Regina Rabbit.
