Just a oneshot, because I felt like writing trickster!Loki, and I just think he would get along with Tony. In my headcanon, they have a weird bromance thing happening.
enjoy. Anything you recognize does not belong to me.

Tony found that having Loki as an avenger was really not as worrisome as predicted. So far, the asgardian seemed content to split his time between healing and awkwardly avoiding Thor. Thor, who just chuckled when Tony mentioned his brother wasn't really living up to the name of trickster.
"Just wait. Loki needs some time to get comfortable before he goes back to his old tricks. When that happens, we'll know he's here to stay."
"As long as my house survives his presence..."
The god of thunder grinned. He'd personally broken half of Stark's personal gym when he first joined the avengers. How was he supposed to have known mortals did not truly spar with these bags of punching?
Tony rolled his eyes, guessing what Thor was thinking.
….
Loki, who had been wandering and heard the conversation, grinned. It was getting a little dull around here, now that he thought of it.
…
The stark mansion was quiet. Agent Coulson had practically kidnapped Steve and Clint for one of his torturous debriefing sessions hours ago. Jane and Thor were busy, and Pepper was having girl talk with Natasha and Darcy in the kitchen Tony had just been banished from.
The iron man sighed, full of self-pity and settled into the living room for a lonesome night with the television.
He didn't see the cat sleeping on the couch until he nearly sat on it.
"Oh. Um. Sorry…. I didn't see you there." Tony tentatively lifted the small animal and placed it on the floor. He'd never had pets, and didn't know exactly what to do with such a tiny, breakable being. Maybe it belonged to Pepper? "Right. You're supposed to stay on the floor, I think."
The cat titled its head, examining him for a moment before gracefully leaping a good two feet to land perfectly in Tony's lap.
Well.
"Okay. Hello." An uncomfortable moment passed as the cat stared at him with eerily unblinking eyes. Finally Tony awkwardly patted the creature on the head.
It started purring. The iron man found it to be an strangely pleasant sound, so he continued stroking the animal's soft black fur. To his surprise, it made for a rather peaceful experience.
….
It was past midnight when Thor found the two of them watching tv, Tony laughing at a cheap sitcom, while the cat purred away, enjoying the attention.
The god of thunder paused in the doorway, enjoying the scene.
"I see you and Loki are getting along."
Tony looked up, confused. "What?"
"Loki. I see you're getting along well with my brother."
"Your…." Tony looked at the tiny cat sitting on his lap, as understanding of Thor's statement slammed into him like a battering ram. The creature situated on his lap simply blinked at him with those big, innocent green eyes.
Green eyes. Loki had green eyes.
Loki, the trickster. Loki, the shapeshifter.
And suddenly, someone was chuckling very close to his ear, and a young man was perched where a cat had been seconds before.
Tony jumped up with a yell of surprise, throwing the trickster god to the floor. For his part, Loki seemed more amused than pained at the sudden change of positioning.
From the doorway, Thor was trying very hard not to laugh as his fearless leader stomped past, his face the colour of his suit.
He turned his attention to his brother, still sitting on the floor. The younger asgardian looked quite calm, examining his - now human - fingernails for damage. Finally Loki looked up, his face fixed in a faux pout. "Just when I was getting comfortable…"
Thor couldn't hold his laughter back any longer.

like? Review!
And for those of you that read "Second Chances" this does go along with the timeline, but some time has passed so Loki isn't quite as angsty anymore.
