This is my take on what's going to happen next week it will probably be a one shot but I'm really nerves for Tom it's not his fault but why did he lie to Sam?
"Tom" Sam shouted down the corridor
"Yes?" Tom asked
"You going to tell them it is your 30th?"
"Nope"
"Why not?"
"I don't want them to know"
"Come on"
"No"
"Them I shell tell them myself" She replied quite smugly
"Tom you're needed in resus" Tess interrupted before Tom could say anything
"Ok I will be there now" He replied then walked to resus.
"Fletch" Sam called
"Yes?"
"I got a favour to ask…." With that they walked down the corridor Sam discussing her plans with Fletch.
It had been a long and eventful day for Tom but as he was on his way aloud of staff came out singing happy birthday. With an operation type cake.
"How did you guys know?"
"I told you I would tell them" Sam said
"Why didn't you tell us it was a big birthday" Zoe asked
"Didn't want to make a big deal about it the folks have already done that"
"Right guys on a serious note there's suddenly been a huge drop in the amount of diazepam it seems like someone here have been taking them" Zoe said with that Sam looked straight at Tom.
"If anyone knows anything or are the one taking them come to see me in my office if no one confesses by the end of the day it will be bag and locker searches that is all"
"Tom" Sam called
"Yes are you still taking them?"
"Yes"
"How many have you been taking?"
"I'm not shore"
"You got to tell Zoe or I will because you promised me you had stopped taking them"
"Fine I will go and see her now"
Tom walked away nervously and headed to Zoe's office he knocked on the door,
"Come in"
Tom walked in,
"Ahhh Tom what can I do for you?"
"I know who's been taking the diazepam "
"Who?"
"Me"
"Tom it's like you're looking for trouble may I ask why? And since when?"
"Well since the baby with meningitis I have been getting panic attacks every time I treat someone the diazepam has help to stop them"
"Right ok but it still don't mean you could take them, I'm going to put you an appointment under the mental health board you can work but only in cubicles but before you go why didn't you come to me?"
"I don't know I guess I was embarrassed"
"You can go now and Tom if you need to talk I'm all ways here"
He gave Zoe a nod before leaving the room and literally stormed home knowing everyone would be talking about him.
The end of the day came and because Zoe didn't come to everyone to do bag and locker searches everyone gathered in the staff room and started talking,
"Did anyone see who went into Zoe's office" Lenny asked
"Just Tom" Lloyd said
"That explains why the birthday boy isn't here and his lockers wide open with nothing in there I wonder what's happened to him" Fletch asked curiously as he did Zoe walked in
"I guess you guys know who it is by now and no he hasn't been suspended or anything like that he's just got to go to some appointments to sort something out and if he wants you guys to know he will tell you in his own time have a nice evening and hope to see most of you tomorrow"
With that they all left for the pub without knowing Tom was sat in the corner necking down his second pint of John Smiths.
