the thief they call dreams

Dreams aren't reality. And that is the true danger of them, because it becomes too easy to lose oneself in there – and sacrifice reality for those dreams.

It's even easier when the tool to dream is at one's fingertips: the doll to which one just sacrifices an item they own. Too easy, to give everything, even one's body and soul, for those dreams. Too easy to let dreams devour the life they've forsaken.

At least nightmares are wiser. They open the door back to reality, back to life. But not dreams. They are drugs that pull one further in.
