"Kyo... why? Why did it end like this? Shouldn't it be raining or... or something? At least some clouds? Stupid cat. Tohru's a wreck. Do you enjoy this? Hm. No, you're not that stupid. So come on, why did you accept this? You should have fought more. Come on you stupid cat! COME ON! FIGHT ME! Stupid!" Yuki stood by the grave on the perfectly sunny day, yelling at the deceased cat.

"Baka. No one ever cared. You were rejected by the family, but still. You could of had friends that would accept you for who you were! That's why I hated you. I could never have anything like that." Yuki bent his head down and tried desperately not to cry.

"Here. Tohru made them, and asked me to bring them by. They're rice balls. Your favorite I guess. Anyways, I guess I got to go now." Yuki set the box down on the grave by the many flowers left by Tohru, Shigure, Haru, Momiji, and even Arisa and Saki.

"I didn't hate you either." Yuki spun around to see Kyo sitting on the tombstone of his grave, eating one of the rice balls left there.

"Eh!? Kyo... how---"

"I would have come earlier, but coming over to visit the land of the living isn't half as easy as it sounds." Kyo replied, gesturing to his translucent body.

"So your a ghost?" Yuki asked, not really wanting to rub his eyes incase this wasn't real.

"Something like that. And, by the way, you try getting hit by a bus. There's not much choice in it." He smiled slightly.

"Why come to me and not Tohru, or anyone else?" Yuki asked timidly.

"well like I said earlier, it's not exactly turn left at the second cloud, we're on different plains of existence." He shrugged.

"So, you don't have time control on these things?" Yuki looked at Kyo in confusion. He always thought death would be more... precise.

"Not really. that's one of the reasons Tohru's mom never visited. besides, we know she'll get by with out the occasional hello." Kyo licked his fingers.

"But that's not the point. Back to us. You said you were jealous, right? Well I guess I was just jealous too. You always got tons of friends, and were always the most popular. Hell, every girl is pretty much head over heels for you. So, really, I guess we might have been friends if we had gotten over our male pride, and if it wasn't for this whole funky curse thing." Kyo finished.

"Wow. you've really... calmed down." Yuki stated simply.

"yeah, death'll do that to you. well, I got to get back, but I really hope we cleared some things up here." Kyo smiled awkwardly.

"Hey! what's in the afterlife?" Yuki asked.

"I guess you'll just have to wait to find out. see you then!" Kyo yelled as he disappeared.

"Friends? we would have been brothers." Yuki laughed lightly as he walked back to the house, no longer feeling that it should be raining.
