"Moko-san!"

The cheerful, loud voice could probably be heard from miles away. This, complimented by the neon pink overalls, was the perfect attention catcher. God, she was going to murder the president after her debut for these ludicrous uniforms. Kanae turned, in spite of herself, to greet her best friend. She was rewarded with an almost strangling hug.

"Um" cough "Kyoko… I… can't" cough "breath!" Kanae choked out pushing the joyful girl off of her. Sad eyes met Kanae's and she instantly felt horrible. "It's not that I'm mad or anything…" she added. She loved the girl despite everything said.

Kyoko smiled, her happiness renewed. "Yay! So are we leaving now!?!" Kyoko asked, her eyes waiting in anticipation and excitement.

"Okay, okay!" Kanae said, in a slightly, but not overly, annoyed tone. Why did this girl freak out so much over just an outing to get some ice cream? Better not question too much. Kyoko's hand hooked through Kanae's, dragging the reluctant girl along as the other skipped. They walked together, nearing the small parlor. It was the kind of place that had a familiar feeling to it, making you quite comfortable in the setting. Halfway there, however, the peace was interrupted. Kanae's felt chills as the temperature dropped probably twenty degrees at the mention of one voice.

"Shoko-san! I can't walk anymore! Why didn't we just take a car?!"

Although some passerby's looked curious and doubtful, most passed the tall blond with the hat and sunglasses without a second thought. That is, with the exception of Kyoko. She stood firmly in place and quite rigid as she emitted a deathly aura. That was probably when Shou noticed her.

"Kyoko?" he asked, a little stunned to be meeting her here. Then his traditional smirk took its former place. "Well, look at you. You're so unknown in this business that no one recognizes you even in public."

Kyoko's eyes flashed in anger and Kanae knew the situation would become dangerous if she wasn't stopped soon.

"Helle, I'm Kotonami Kanae. I'm Kyoko's best friend. It's very nice to meet you, Fuwa-san but we'll be leaving now." She said, cooly stepping in front of Shou. This was the first time Shou noticed Kyoko's companion.

In comparison, the raven haired beauty clearly overshadowed Kyoko. His expression changed to stunned, fully taking in the woman standing up for her best friend. Besides Kyoko, this was probably the first woman he'd looked at, not in terms of breast size. This wasn't the first time he'd seen Kanae of course. She was there in Kyoko's commercial as well, but in person the beauty captured his attention much more. He continued staring as the two friend walked away, one dragging the other, once again, but their roles switched. For the first time in a long time, Fuwa Shou's attention was on one girl and one girl only.

Kotonami Kanae.

R&R! Hehe, I have strange ideas sometimes. Just a one-shot.
