A/N: Not really set in a specific time, maybe during season four. Also, I'm making Mark slightly OOC. This came to me in a weird dream. Enjoy! Please R & R..

Disclaimer: I do not own Grey's Anatomy and Friends. Other people own them, lucky them.

Mark and Meredith were sitting on a gurney. Both bored, no patients, no paperwork, nothing.

"You know, you and Derek are like a different version of Ross and Rachel, except I never liked them together, but you and Derek, you two are actually good for each other." Mark spoke randomly.

"How can you not like Ross and Rachel?" Another voice asked that was now coming up to him and Meredith.

Mark looked at her. "Well, Stevens, they never stayed together long enough for them to even consider themselves a real couple."

"Even so, Ross and Rachel ended up together, everyone knew it, even Joey! They were made to be with each other, they were obviously always in love with each other." Izzie said defending one of her favorite TV couples.

"But it was to rocky, and through most of the episodes, they were either dating other people, or one person was, and the other person still loved the other person. It got annoying. Even if she did end up with Ross, she would have been better off with Joey." Mark said.

Meredith looked between the two. She quietly got off the gurney. Both Mark and Izzie were to caught up in the argument they were having to notice that she left.

"But Ross and Rachel were meant to be. You can't fight fate, and fate wanted them together. Do you not understand that?"

"No, I understand, but Ross and Rachel would've had a much higher risked of getting divorced again than any other couple on the show."

"So you'd think she would have been better off with Joey?" Izzie asked incredulously.

"Yes, I do, it makes more sense, and I'm pretty sure it would of made Rachel happier." Mark said confidently.

"How do you know that? How do you know if that if Joey and Rachel ever got married that Rachel wouldn't walk out, or Ross wouldn't disrupt the wedding begging her not to marry him because he was in love with her?"

"I don't, and even if Ross and Rachel did love each other, each time, it's short lived."

"But in the finale, they were finally together, and for good. They got their happily ever after." Izzie said with a slight smile.

"So did the others, but I don't think Joey was over Rachel, so he probably wouldn't have a complete happily ever after." Mark pointed out.

"Yeah, but one way or another, he probably would. He's gone through enough to make it through whatever he had for Rachel to find someone he can have a real happily ever after with."

"But how do you know that Joey wasn't really in love with Rachel?"

"I don't, but you can move on from love, and Joey is a good enough guy to let Ross and Rachel have their happily ever after."

Mark nodded. "True." He said agreeing to both statements she just made. "Stevens, if you could be a couple like one from Friends, would you be Ross and Rachel, or Joey and Rachel?" He asked not really understanding why he did.

"Neither." She looked at his questioning face. "I'd want to be in one like Monica and Chandler's." Her pager went off. She looked down at it. "I have to go." She looked at him. "It was interesting talking to you." Izzie jogged off.

Mark leaned his head against the wall behind him. "I'd like to be like them too Stevens, and maybe one day I'd get the chance." He looked in the direction where she jogged off.

One day…

One day soon…
