It was a warm and cozy night when the two couple aboard The Straw-hats' ship when they were getting all dressed up for going on the clubbing island in The New World. Though one of the couples is having a little trouble.
"Sit down, Luffy before I strangle you with this tie," growled Nami while fighting Luffy's tie, though it wasn't Luffy's. It was Sanji's but Nami was able to successfully and easily seduce him into letting her borrow one. "Let me get this tie on so we can go to the island like you wanted." "But Nami, I don't like these clothes, they feel so tight," he complained. Ugh, this is what I get for trying to act like a proper couple for once, thought Nami.
After several minutes of frustrating tying, yelling, and shoe throwing, Nami and Luffy were finally ready to venture out onto the island. The island was a beautiful summer island with a tropical feel. It was one of the few calm islands in the New World, so it quickly became popular. It became the #1 clubbing island in the entire world, and Nami was not gonna miss out on it. So, with Luffy in a suit similar to one of Sanji's and proper shoes and Nami in a black sleeveless, low-cut, form fitting, sexy dress, they took off to see what the island had in store for them.
They soon found a huge club that was playing heavy dance music, somewhere between a cross of Scrillex and Dubstep, and it had glass walls and ceiling so the entire interior was visible for all to see. They both liked it and went inside. They had a blast. Who knew Nami and Luffy could dance? They ended up controlling the dance floor. The DJ soon noticed and was smart, so he figured out that the couple was a couple and were very close together. He ended up playing a slow, low beat classical song that the couple liked and danced a slow waltz on the dance floor, along with other couples, turning it into a ballroom scene. The DJ looked up and saw the crisp, bright moon and twinkling stars and decided to turn off the loud neon spotlights and the other ambient lights.
He let the moon be the spotlight and the stars be the orchestra. The couples on the floor didn't notice since they were too engrossed with each other since they love them that much. Luffy and Nami were thinking about all their times together as a couple and even before when it was just a captain and his navigator. They thought about the baths they had together, soothing each other from bad dreams and nightmares, and the fights in order to protect the one they love and their nakama.
As they were thinking about how grateful they were to have each other, they blurted out, "I love you, Luffy/Nami." And they shared a deep kiss, one which the entire club noticed and cheered for. The DJ was so touched, he officially declared that day, Couples' Day. Little did he know that Couples' Day in the New World is Valentine's Day here.
