Note: I don't anything except the plot. I wish I did, but I don't. :(( Darn the changes I make won't save... I'm sorry... Enjoy anyway! XD

The huge crowd cheered loudly as Red, Yellow, Green and Blue arrived at Pallet Town. It was evening and their parents plus Professor Oak had prepared a huge welcoming party for them and an advanced birthday party for Blue. Silver had also been invited but he had decided to return to Johto with his father. The four friends were dragged into the middle of the crowd and the party officially began. Red's and Blue's parents came rushing towards them and giving everyone big hugs as Yellow and Green hung back a bit, feeling a little out of place. Green watched as Red took Yellow's hand and pulled her forward to introduce her to his parents as his brand-new girlfriend. Blue laughed as Yellow started blushing and Red's parents joyfully hugged Yellow as well.

Green walked away. It was much too noisy here. He sneaked his way back to Oak's lab and from his bedroom, climbed up onto the roof where it was much more peaceful and quiet. He sighed and lied down with his hands behind his head. Everyone else was really happy but he still felt incomplete somehow. He stared up at the stars. Even Red had finally gotten the courage to confess to Yellow almost right before they arrived in Pallet town. He closed his eyes. Slowly, slowly he fell asleep.

Blue looked around her. Green was gone and nobody had noticed at all. He had been standing behind her just a minute ago. Blue looked everywhere until she finally figured that he was no longer at the party. 'Where would Green go?' she thought. She looked up at the roof of Oak's lab. There seemed to be someone up there. Maybe Green didn't like the noise. She excused herself and quickly went to Oak's lab. She quietly climbed up and finally pulled herself up onto the roof. She smiled as soon as she got up. There was Green, fast asleep.

She crept nearer and looked down at him. They all really had changed since they had first met each other and started their journey. She blushed a little as she knelt next to him. He looked strangely calm and relaxed when he was asleep. As if all his usual worries were gone. He stirred and half opened his eyes.

"Hey" he said softly

Green looked up at Blue. She was kneeling on his left and looking down curiously at him. He smiled inwardly. He could see the slight blush on her cheeks. "Hi." She answered. "What are you doing up here all by yourself?"

"Nothing.. it's just too noisy down there."

They were silent for a while then Green sat up and leaned back on his hands. Below them, some people were getting the fireworks ready.

"It's been a while, hasn't it?" Blue said, looking down at all the people milling about.

"Yeah, it has."

They sat in more silence just watching everyone else.

"It's your birthday tomorrow right?" Green said.

"Yeah. Why?"

"I haven't gotten you anything yet."

Blue shook her head. "You really don't have to, you know."

"Well, I want to."

Before Blue could respond, Green tilted his head back a bit and kissed her full on the lips. The fireworks were lit and exploded in the sky in bright blasts of red, yellow, green and blue. They pulled away and Green looked at her face. She looked very surprised, happy and was also blushing like mad. Green smiled then got up. Before he left, he looked back down at Blue.

"Happy Birthday"
