Goodbye
By: kelle

Allen Francis Doyle stood on a fluffy white cloud looking down as the people gathered in the dirty alley. He saw Angel and then Spike and then Gunn and Fred or rather Illyria. He remembered Spike when he kidnapped Angel and he and Cordy had saved him. Cordy the woman who he had loved. He saw when Cordy had disappeared from Angel's office and he got the phone call that she was dead. Angel didn't want to believe it, but it was true. Then Angel got the visions that Cordy had gotten from him. He wished that he were still there to keep an eye on things and help them fight the good fight. He remembered saying that before he punched Angel to send him to the ships floor. He could have turned to demon form and fight with the rest of them. He had seen Lorne kill Lindsey in cold blood. He didn't know what to think of that. Lindsey had called himself Doyle and there was only one Doyle. He couldn't believe that Lindsey did that to gain Spike's trust, but he didn't get it. Why would Spike think it was he when Spike saw him? How could he mistake Lindsey for him? Then Wesley died. Wesley died being a hero just like he did. Everything would be all right with Wesley he would see to it.

He watched as they started the fight and they were doing a good job with it. He knew that they would prevail and everything would be all right. He watched some more, said goodbye to them, gave them some of his strength and then turned to welcome the next person who would come through the gates.

The End
