Strangers
Katniss didn't have time for this.
As she eyes the black-haired boy in front of her mistrustfully, her hand rises up on its own accord to knead at her temples. But she can't exactly just send him and his other friend (who, quite frankly, had the strangest bright blue eyes Katniss had ever seen, and is looking incredibly bored in face of the whole situation) away, after Plutarch mentioned how he and his two companions had put down a Peacekeeper rebellion in District Two in little to no time.
"There are," the former Mockingjay says, lifting her head to stare into the boy's sea-green eyes (was he related to Finnick in any way?), "Capitol sympathizers causing tempers to boil in District Five. You think you can handle it?"
The boy grins sweetly at her from under his mussed hair. "You got it, girl on fire."
"I'll tell Annabeth you're flirting with other girls," his companion mutters under her breath as the boy pulls her out of the door.
Katniss raises her eyebrows after the girl.
There are strangers in Panem, and she didn't know what to think.
End Notes: Umm, you know, just a little drabble-y warm-up before I get to writing a Hunger Games/Percy Jackson crossover. ^^' Hope you enjoyed.
