Summary: Troy gets his wish and gets a Division I scholarship. But can he hold his own with the big boys?

AN/Disclaimer: No ownership of HSM or OTH, etc, etc. Also, let's just pretend everyone is the same age here.

From the Albuquerque Tribune, November 22, 2007:

"East High's Bolton commits to Carolina"

by James Staley

East High's basketball superstar Troy Bolton signed his National Letter of Intent yesterday and committed to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Class of 2012. Coached by Roy Williams, UNC has been to at least the Elite 8 four out of the past six years, and won the National Championship in 2005.

"I'm really honored to be part of such an amazing program, filled with basketball history," says Bolton. "I went to [former coach Dean Smith's camp when I was really little, so it's going to be awesome to be back there on the other side of things."

Williams looks forward to working Bolton into their rotation. "He's just the kind of guard we like; fast, with quick decision making skills. We run a speedy transition offense, and he's going to fit in nicely."

Bolton is joined by two McDonalds All-Americans; Nathan Scott of Tree Hill, NC, and Corey Stokes, of Newark, NJ. Also joining the Class of 2012 are Scott's brother Lucas, and Raymond Hill of Oakland, CA.

AN: For story's sake we're going to pretend that Luke doesn't have HCM and that Zac Efron is taller than 5'8". Seriously he's such a little twinkie midget. So, tell me what you think! Should I write this?
