Prologue - Job Offer: Sodor

Joshua Park shuddered as he was in the operation room. The huge steam engine was on his side, his breathing hollow, his eyes closed. After a dynamite explosion at a quarry that had made him pull out of service, his frame destroyed beyond use, Cole, as the engine was named, gave his consent to be put to sleep for life. It was Josh himself who was given the job to end Cole's life.

Josh was born in Baltimore, Maryland, but his parents were Korean, so he moved back to Korea when he was three. When he was in high school, he moved back to Baltimore. He was a genius in the field of mathematics and science. Soon afterwards, he used his knowledge of science to help repair and study problems for trains, both steam and diesel engines alike. One day, while he was repairing the interior of a Class C gear train to fix an internal gear jam when he found out that trains also have a bio-mechanic side to them. They had organs. This resolved the previous questions about why most trains died the same time when pneumonia came around.

He sighed. This was going to be a long operation.

*After Operation*

Josh ripped off the rubber arm length gloves anddisposed them in the trash. He had taken a detailed diagram of the biological body of a steam engine. He put on anotherpairof gloves. Now for the diesel.

At Sodor Island

"Hmm…"

Sir Topham Hatt looked at the new book the was shipped to him from Baltimore. It was a complete collection of the biology of both diesel and steam locomotives. He flipped to the back and read the book jacket. His eyes lit up. This was the perfect person to work here. He picked up his phone and called the B&O Railway.

"Hello, do you know Joshua Park? Please tell me if he is nearby."

He waited and scribbled on the ledger of the bank balance of the NWR.

"Hello?"

"Ah, Joshua. This is Sir Topham Hatt from the Island of Sodor. Please, would you like a job here?"

The next thing Joshua did was pack up and fly to the U.K.

See, not much gore. Yay. Bit dark, but will be better later. Trust me, will write longer stories.

Also, if someone can make me a photo for this story, then that would be awesome.
