Hitomi and Van promised that they would see each other as long as they wished it, as long as they thought of each other. 15 years later the promise was not kept. Hitomi has returned to Gaea. A remenant of Dornkerk's sorcerors exists and has a vile plan that rivals the original Zibach empire's desire, not one for peace but for power.

UPDATE AND REDUX

Hello Readers! My Gawd its been years, yet messages continue to trickle in about this fanfic. With last year's release of the Escaflowne Blu-Ray Set, I have been thinking a great deal about the plans I had for this fanfiction. I have decided to return to it.

There is a "but" implied here though. Upon rereading these first few chapters I have found numerous spelling and grammatical errors (it's a bit embarrassing really). I also found the beginning scenes to be rushed. So I am going to reboot this fic from the beginning with plans of seeing it through until the end.

I hope you will bear with me. I hope to have to have the first two rebooted chapters finished by next week at the latest. Thank you all for your continued support and long sustaining interest in my fantasy of Hitomi's return to Gaea.
