For Uchiha Tsakare, a fellow Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle (from where I got inspired for this supposed to be one-shot, but what the heck) and SasuSaku lover. It's nice conversing with you (and your too many brackets in one paragraph) ;-p By the way, Ange says hi and Dev is keeping her cold front (though we all know she actually acknowledges your presence. Dev: In the background, flushing Hey! Don't talk behind people's backs! Ange: Well, technically that's virtually impossible since we're not people and she's not talking, she's typing...Nways)

Scattered Memories

.-.-.

Onyx eyes opened slowly to look up at the low branches of a familiar humungous and ancient, cherry blossom tree.

...What was unfamiliar was the warmth of another person's breath against his rigid neck...

...The softness of the body pressed against his lean, hard one...

...The peaceful thumping of the person's heart against his accelerating one...

...The silky hair that somehow felt familiar...

...And the scent of cherry blossoms...

...When none of the tree's had blossomed yet...

His widened eyes peered down and he would've fainted if he'd been standing and hadn't been who he was...but he was who he was and fainting because a certain girl was sleeping against his chest peacefully for some reason when he'd remember specifically that he'd gone to sleep alone last night was not enough of an excuse to – her emerald eyes were staring at his.

...Eyes wider than he remembered...

...Clearer than he recalled...

...And filled with a different kind of curiosity...

...A...child's...?

"...Sakura...?"

She stared at him. Then she did something that sent his heart lurching...

"...Sa...ku...ra...?" she mimicked him, as though it was the first time she spoke.

His onyx eyes widened.

'What if the mind of someone who truly loved you was reverted back to that of a newborn baby's? Meaning she has forgotten about everything in her life...including the fact that she loved you? Would you help her...even if she was your enemy...?,' the words of an unfamiliar woman echoed in his mind from his dream last night.

No...it wasn't...possible...

And then she imitated his furrowed expression...

...And he knew his worst nightmare yet had come true.

To be continued...

Depending on my mood, that is. I know. I suck at updating. Don't you people dare say anything --'

Nways. Thanks for taking your time to read the the first chappie (and possibly last. GRR) of 'Scattered Memories'. Hope you liked it!
