Hello! This was for The Twenty Minute Drabble Challenge, with the prompts too late and wind. This is the first drabble I have done, so please tell me how I did! I feel really bad about doing this to this couple. They are one of my favorites, but this is what I came up with, with the help of the prompts. Enjoy and please review!
Too Late
Rose stood on her front porch and wrapped her coat tighter around her as she waited for her date, which happened to be late again. Normally she wouldn't mind but it was their anniversary. She wanted everything to be perfect, but he just had to mess it up by being late. It was as if he didn't care about her and their relationship.
Rose sighed and turned around to head back inside when she heard a voice scream out her name. She turned to her boyfriend of three years, Scorpius Malfoy, running towards her house. She stopped and waited for him to get to her.
"Rose, I so sorry" Scorpius wheezed "The office made me stay for an extra hour. I am so sorry sweetie." Rose frowned at him.
"Why don't I believe you?" She whispered as the wind started to pick up, blowing her hair back. She wrapped her coat even tighter around her and tried to keep the tears that were threating to come make an appearance. Scorpius looked hurt.
"Why wouldn't you? Rosie? Are you okay?" Scorpius seemed worried.
"No, I am not. You have continually shoved me away and used the 'I had to stay at work' excuse. I can't remember a date where you showed up early. Scorp, this time, you are too late." Rose started to go back inside, but Scorpius grabbed her arm.
"Rosie, please!" He cried. Rose felt bad for a second, before telling herself that she gave him time to change. If he didn't change by now, he never would.
"I think you should leave. Goodbye Scorpius." Rose walked back inside her house and locked the front door, leaving a crying Scorpius on her front porch with his hair blowing in the cold wind.
