Dear Shizuru,

A trip from Germany to the New World is…quite a journey. On boat, which makes the journey even better. I'm laying halfway over the edge of the railing, feeling violently sick, and staring at the deep blue water from a giant wooden boat that squeaks every time I walk. Sounds like this New World is going to be just great. I could have stayed in Germany instead of enduring this…what did that man call it? 'Sick seaness'? 'Sea sickness'? Yes, that's it, sea sickness. Sounds exciting…anyway we're almost there. I can see great farmland and more boats. I hope this new world is everything these people say it is, swear they won't shut up about it. They say here they are 'free'. Free to make themselves sick on the seas and of diseases on this new world, yes. Well, we're docked, quite a bumpy ride. Captain must be blind, or new world infected. I miss home already, can you tell? I promise not to be too hostile, if these people will shut up for one minute. Spoke too soon, promise broken. Well, I'll send a letter when I'm coming home, and not a second later!

Love,

Natsuki Kruger.

PS: We're never leaving Germany again, least of all by boat.
