The Knight and the Princess
With the knight
The knight rode her horse quickly through the night, her black, chain armor nearly making her invisible in the cloudy night. Her brown hair flowed behind her like and her red eyes had a steely gaze in them. She had her eyes set on one place: the castle in front of her; Dremurr Castle.
Arriving at the castle, she quickly dismounted her horse and grabbed a vine that was hanging over the wall. She used the vine to climb the wall, her goal a balcony about ten stories up.
With the princess
"I'm sorry, Francesca." The king, Asgore Dreemurr said, putting his hand on the princess, Francesca Dreemurr, shoulder. "You need to choose a suitor before your birthday. Your brother, Asriel, has already picked his bride. It is time for you to pick someone for you."
"I don't like any of the ones that I've seen." Francesca said, crossing her arms which ruffled her white dress. Her silvery blue eyes looked down at her feet. "They're not for me."
"What about the last one?" Asgore asked.
"The one without arms?" Frisk asked. "He was a bit pushy. And the one before that too lazy."
"I wish you would make this easier." Asgore said, sighing. "I'm going back inside. Just think about it, won't you?"
"There was only one for me." Francesca said, sighing herself.
"I know you miss the black knight." Asgore said, squeezing Francesca's shoulder. "But, you know what happened. That monster could not be stopped and the black knight died fighting it. We all heard the reports."
"I'll leave you to yourself." Asgore said, hugging his daughter. "I will see you later."
Asgore went back inside the castle, closing the door behind him and leaving Francesca alone on the balcony.
Francesca looked over the balcony, staring out at where the moon would be if it were out from behind the clouds. Suddenly, there was a sound next to her on the balcony. She looked over to see a woman clad in flexible, black armor flip over the railing to land in front of Francesca. Francesca's mouth dropped open as she ran forward, hugging the woman.
"Chara!" she cried, her mood changed. "I thought you were dead!"
"Nah!" The woman—knight—Chara—said, chuckling as she grabbed Francesca in a hug. "I promised you I'd come back, Frisky."
"I waited for you." Francesca said, smiling. "All this time, just to give you one thing."
"And what would that be?" Chara asked.
"this." Francesca said, closing the distance between their lips, surprising Chara. As the two of them kissed, the moon emerged from behind the clouds, illuminating the two of them as if proclaiming their love by fate.
Asgore saw their shadows, looking out onto the balcony to see the two of them. He went to open the door to the balcony, but a hand like his own stopped him.
"Let them have their moment." The queen, Toriel, said, smiling as she looked at her daughter and her lover. "She won't settle for anyone else. Besides, they haven't seen each other in such a long time."
With Chara and Francesca
The two of them finally broke their kiss, staring into each other's eyes.
"I" Francesca said, her tone sad. "I have to get married by my birthday. None of the suitors are for me."
"Well" Chara suggested. "Maybe you need a strong, brave, gorgeous, beautiful knight to sweep you off your feet."
"Maybe." Francesca said. "But, where will I find one of those?"
Chara looked at Francesca for a second, Francesca's expression turning to a giggle.
"I think I just found one." She said, hugging Chara tighter.
"Don't worry, Frisk." Chara said, chuckling. "I'll sweep you off your feet."
"I know." Francesca—Frisk—said, smiling as she joined her lips to Chara's once again. "I know."
so, this is my first attempt at a oneshot. Cliche, I know, but i kinda like this one.
