A/N: Instead of writing the entire story of this, I decided to just leave it off with a profile of Ning Tong and his sister, Ning Tai, along with a few more characters that were going to be introduced in this story. I hope all of you enjoy this as I've already started on Ning Tai. Enjoy everyone!

Name: Ning Tong

Kingdoms Served: Shu and Wei

Years: 200-235

Backstory: Ning Tong was born under the Ning family and son of Ning Feng, the warlord of Xu Chang. At an early age, he began studying the strategies of warfare and at the age of 5, memorized the entire art of war. That same year, he trained himself in martial arts, spearmanship, and he became quite the equestrian. Impressed by his son's achievements, Ning Feng decided to personally teach him his ways.

In 207 A.D, after Cao Cao had defeated Yuan Shao to gain control over the central plains, the Ning Family knew that they would be in his path of destruction. Gathering everyone they can to defend their homeland, they move to battle. Ning Tong also takes up arms despite only being 7 years old.

The defense went on for 8 months before the defenses at Xu Chang fell when one of Ning Feng's advisors turned on him, and assassinated him and his wife. This was the fall of the Ning Family

Forced to abdicate their home, Ning Tong and his older sister, Ning Tai, roamed the land and headed east towards the lands of Shu. For 3 years, they roamed before they found the army of Liu Bei, a descendant of the Han Official Liu Zhen. Liu Bei was pursued by Cao Cao, the same man that took their homeland.

They decided to offer their assistance and take position with Liu Bei's sworn brother, Zhang Fei, on the bridge and were able to hold off Liu Bei's pursuers. However, eventually, Ning Tong grew fatigued and was forced to pullback by his sister.

After passing out from exhaustion, Ning Tong awakes on Liu Bei's escape boat only to find out that his sister fell at the hands of Cao Cao's army. Angered, he asks that Liu Bei if he can lend him some troops so that he may attack Cao Cao head on. However, he was denied this request because Liu Bei didn't have many troops to spare. He soon got his chance at Chi Bi, but failed then.

Weeks after Chi Bi, he fell ill and was nursed back to health by Lady Guan, otherwise known as Guan Yinping. She tells him that there is more to life than vengeance and showed him how life can be if he focuses on more than vengeance. Ning Tong soon bought into those desires and pledges his assistance to Liu Bei's cause.

Ning Tong participated in many of Shu's major battles like the campaign for Shu, and Mt. Ding Jun. During this time, Ning Tong also decided to marry Guan Yinping.

His biggest achievement was Mt. Ding Jun as he was able to find a path to catch Wei off guard and capture Mt. Ding Jun. However, during that same battle, he saw his sister fighting for Wei. The same sister he thought was dead is now fighting for Wei.

After seeing and being defeated by her brother, she gives Ning Tong information on a planned water attack and Wu's betrayal at Fan Castle.

He also participated in the defense of Fan Castle. However, due to the impeded push at Mt. Ding Jun, Ning Tong wasn't able to arrive in time to stop the water attack and warn Guan Yu of Wu's betrayal.

When Liu Bei announced that he would attack Wu for their betrayal and murder of both his brothers, Ning Tong, like many others, opted against it. When Liu Bei put vengeance before virtue. Enraged at his decision, Ning Tong decides to leave Shu and roam the land once again, much to Yinping's dismay since he had divorced her before he had left the kingdom.

Years passed and Liu Shan and Cao Pi both succeeded their father for their respective kingdoms. After receiving news of Cao Cao's passing, Ning Tong somehow felt at ease knowing Cao Cao was no more. However, he still had nowhere to go.

It was then he had heard the song of a beautiful maiden. This maiden was playing close to a nearby pond. Interested, he stays and listens. The graceful music made him feel at ease even more, so he went to confront this mysterious maiden.

The maiden is revealed to be Lady Cai Wenji. Ning Tong asks her where she learned to play so beautifully and reveals that her father taught her. Amazed, at her musical talent, he asks her if she could play again.

After playing many songs for him, Cai Wenji decides to invite him to her house... in the kingdom of Wei. Ning Tong initially didn't know that Cai Wenji was part of the Wei Kingdom. However, he grew accustomed there, even if it was against his own will. Eventually, Cao Pi recruited him into their army. At the battle of Jie Ting, he fought his first battle as a Wei officer and along side his sister and Cai Wenji.

However, this also meant he would fight against his former Kingdom of Shu. Although hesitant, he does what he can to support his new kingdom. Eventually, after they force Shu back, Guan Yinping, her brothers, Xing Cai, and Zhang Bao see Ning Tong taking out their own soldiers. Confused, they confront him.

However, he refuses to answer them as Ning Tai comes in to save her brother, allowing him to escape. However, like at Chang Ban, she is captured covering his retreat.

Ning Tai soon reveals that Ning Tong was told that he would have thel and of Xu Chang back if he is able to help them conquer the land. Ning Tai then proceeds to tell them that they are purposely exploiting Ning Tong and his strength. Ning Tong wouldn't know since he only cares about the land they lost.

Ning Tai decides to join Shu along with an unlikely assistant, Cai Wenji. Together, they battle against Wei once again at Chen Cang Road. There, they fail again to capture Ning Tong as he escapes, and Zhang Bao is accidentally wounded mortally, but not killed.

At Wu Zhang Plains, they combat Wei again in what seems to be Zhuge Liang's final battle. Eventually, Shu overpowers Wei's massive army and siege weapons and force Wei back despite Zhuge Liang's passing. Ning Tong insists he goes out there to fight, but Sima Yi orders him not to.

Eventually, Ning Tong ignores the order and charges into the Shu main camp. The Shu army knew he would and ambush him to finally attempt a final capture. However, Ning Tong is wounded too severely and begins to bleed out slowly. In an attempt to be with her beloved, Guan Yinping reveals to Ning Tong that she was pregnant with his child and gave birth to a healthy young girl.

Ning Tong was happy to hear it as he is surrounded by his ex-wife, sister, and other friends as he slowly passes away from his wounds. Ning Tong had passed away in battle at the age of 35.

Ning Tong's family in Shu continued to serve them until the Shu's downfall. Ning Tong's son, Guan FuTong served Shu until its demise and then served Jin until he soon passed away in 298 AD at the age of 73. He was able to birth 3 children to continue on the Ning Family legacy.

Despite his achievements, his legacy was soon shrouded in history and his stories of accomplishments became stories from which nobody could recall of. Even so, those that were in his life during the war between the three kingdoms knew of his accomplishments and they will be with forever, even in the afterlife.

So ends the legend of Ning Tong...
