Sara sat on the edge of Grissom's chair, running her fingers through his now closely cropped hair as the crew from the night shift milled about their loft.
Grissom watched each one with more than a little trepidation. He hadn't seen any of these guys since he'd left 673 days ago. No one had changed, it seemed; but he knew he had.
Gone were the nights he'd spent hours buried in evidence with these people; they were perhaps his best friends in the world. He missed them, but he missed Sara more.
That's when he decided to stay in Vegas.
