I am a Hunter. I am hunted. I run. We run. We are respected. We serve. She who runs with the wild. We Run with Her. I was mortal. I am immortal. I am a Hunter Of Artemis.

I've was at Camp Half Blood for two years. I watched as Percy Jackson sneaked off to get the lightning bolt. The day after, they came. Because of him. I had wanted to see them. When I was seven, one had tuned up and given me a silvery card. I still have it, contemplating whether I should join. What they came, I couldn't believe it, because I knew I was going to leave with them, but leave my friends to start a new life. No, I had made the right decision, it was meant for me.

They came early in the morning. I was unnamed, and the Hermes cabin were running round trying to tidy up. But the second we heard the howl, I knew it was them. We rushed out to Half Blood HillHill to see the group of twenty girls, and four wolves at the front. Chiron galloped towards them and extended his hand to the group. A girl stepped forwards to shake his.

"I guess that you have come for a reason?" Chiron asked.

"We have been sent by Artemis herself to retrieve the lightning bolt." The girl announced.

"Get right to it, don't they?" someone muttered from the crowd.

"I'm afraid," Chiron said, "Our only suspect has ran away, Luke, along with Percy Jackson."

"Wait, which one is the suspect?" Another voice asked.

"We don't know."

After the hunters had come to the big house and talked to Chiron, he managed to convince them to stay for dinner. They sat at the Artemis table, which was usually empty. They joined us in giving our food to the Gods. I gave mine to Artemis and one of the Hunters eyed me curiously. I just smiled nervously.

"I... want to be a Hunter." I told her.

"Really? That's really cool! You should go talk to Ester then. She's in charge,"

She sounded happy and excited. I was too. I walked up to the girl with Aubourn hair.

"I would like to be a Hunter." I said, hoping I sounded less nervous than I felt. The girls around her stood up to shake my hand, chattering excitedly. I smiled.

That night I went to sleep in the Hermes Cabin. Everyone had congratulated me and I knew I was going to miss all my friends. I remembered Luke, the person who stole the lightning bolt. Yeah, I knew that too. I tend to not get noticed much, or, at least, melt into the shadows or whatever.

"Goodnight." I said. My last night.

I woke early the next morning while everyone was asleep, I didn't really like goodbyes. I got changed and walked to Half Blood Hill. The hunters were already waiting. It felt strange, wearing their silvery uniform. I remembered my pledge and stepped forward to recite it.

"I dedicate myself to Lady Artemis and will do as she says. I will respect my hunters and never involve myself in boys ever. I pledge myself to Artemis and the Wild."

I felt the air being drawn through my lungs. I felt myself almost lifting off the ground. Huh. So this is what it felt like being immortal. I felt fresh, clean.

" Goodbye, Camp Half Blood." I said, as I turned away, to a new life, in the Wild.
