The smoke was filling my lungs. I attempted to look around but what was once a wall was ontop of me restricting my movement. I was as aware of the ringing in my ears as the blood seeping down my forehead. I also knew I had some broken bones but I could only focus on one thing. Sucking up all the oxygen available I shouted "TALI!" I heard no reply. I wriggled underneath the rubbe attemting to squeeze myself from under it. After what felt like hours but was only a minute or so I was free from the debris. I rolled onto my back and looked at what was once the most popular coffee shop in Tel-A-Viv. I scanned through the reckage and bodies looking for one. I tried again "TALI!" This time I heard a weak reply to my left "Zi-Zi". I lifted myself onto my forearms and dragged myself towards the source of the noise. A few feet to my left, my little sister laid under glass and plaster. I mustered up enough energy to push away the rubble. "Zi-Zi, it hurts." Only then did I see the glass shard in her leg. "You're going to be ok Tali." I tried to reassure both of us but we both knew that she wasn't going to make it. She was bleeding to fast. She wiped away the tears that had fallen with the pad of her thumb "I know I'm not going to make it. I don't wan't to see you until you're old." I couldn't help but laugh "I love you tateleh." She smiled weakly "I love you to Zi-Zi." She let out one last shaky breath and she was gone. I held her and cried. I did not care that it was weak, I cried. I took her star of David and put it in my pocket, pulled myself up and walked away from the wreckage, walking away from the body of my best friend and my sister.
