Ohayo! I came back after god knows how many days. Nevermind. And yeah, I'll continue Stained Asphalt when I get myself a bit straight...sorry guys! So...how about you put up with an one-shot?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Have you ever wondered about the stars? Thousands of those shining lights on the velvet black sky? And the funny part is, you can't even see half of them. But they're still there.
Up there.
When I was young, I, being the sole female in our "merry band of friends", used to fret about the fact of us separating. One night, when I mentioned it, one of them laughed at me, and told me to follow the North Star when that happened.
So I always had lived by that belief. Still do. Follow the North Star, you find your friends.
But what if they're dead? Will you find them?
I only had Renji. He was all I had.
And what did I do? WHAT DID I DO?
Left him. Because of a silly argument.
Kill me. Hang me. Drown me. I was to blame. Blame it on me.
When I entered the Gotei Thirteen, my life went up.
The clouds went away. Only for a little while, though.
Kaien-dono told me that the North Star was also called Polaris. And he also repeated what my friend told me back then. If you follow Polaris, you will find your friends. When I asked the question I previously asked you, what if your friends are dead?
He told me about the heart. And he was, is, right.
When he died, from my own blade, I wanted to sucide. I keep losing everyone because of me and my false beliefs.
But then came my hero. No, he didn't wear a flowing cape and body tight suit with a logo emblazoned on the chest. He was built, oranged haired, with a face which was scowling half of the time, doesn't know the importance and awesomeness of Chappy, arrogant and too tall...yup.
I will never tell him that, but little down I already thinks he knows.
Thats Ichigo alright.
"Was that good enough?" I asked the two girls seated by the table, both resembling me, but one with orange hair and brown eyes.
"Wow...Dad is soo sweet!~" Momoko gushed, gazing dreamily at the distance. "Woah Mum, was Dad that embarrased when he proposed?" Hikari kicked her twin to snap her out of her "gaze", ignoring her squeal of indignation, and twirled a lock of her onyx hair.
"Yup." I smiled at my twin daughters and looked up as my teenage son Mamoru entered the dining room, his orange hair still wet from the shower. "Watha waking abou'?" He asked, his mouth full of toast. "Nothing that would bother you, dear."
But yeah, I never knew that one day, after all that folowing, I would meet a person who I had so utterly dipised at first...look at us now!
With three kids, we are one big happy family. One very happy family at that.
