Silent Times
By: Paige Collins
Authors Note: You may have noticed that I am writing poetry a lot. That's cause I am working on a lot of things right now. And I have a message for some people: NEVER AGAIN! Thank you.
I await the day in my heart,
Knowing it won't come,
For I have been torn apart,
It's seems like hours since you went away,
All I do is think of you,
And worry if you're okay,
Since one lonely night turns into the day,
I miss you so much,
When you are away,
I hear a knock on the door and answer it with pride,
Curiosity over comes me,
As I think of who could be outside,
It's not my love, nor any one else,
A single letter rests on porch,
I bring it in and read what it has to say,
My love will not being coming home,
So the silent times are here to stay.
Okay, I know that everyone is confused about this. Okay, uh, they're older now, and um, Jake is in battle and Cassie had to stay home, (I don't know why) and she gets a letter that he was killed. ::wipes sweat off her forehead:: Okay, I know everyone is making fun of me cause I am eleven. Well, I'm not stupid and I'll get better as I get older. To prove I'm not stupid (cause I know everyone wants me to) I am on a 9th grade (I think 9th grade, cause I took that test at the beginning of sixth-grade). Any way, hate to brag. I do. It make me seem so…I don't know. See that box? Why don't you type your comments in it? You are? Oh, happy days!
