Burst To Flames
A spark.
That's all it takes.
A single spark to blaze against the night sky.
From a lighter, you say?
Not necessarily. Hush, little baby,
I shan't harm your pretty delicate skin.
Oh no.
But I can see it in your oh-so-blue eyes...
You're afraid of me, aren't you?
Do not tremble.
For I am the Flurry of the Dancing Flames,
and no harm shall ever befall you.
That's it, hold out your hand, and grasp all that I am,
the fire burning deep within that pale, pale exterior you so cleverly drape
across your slender shoulders.
Can you not see my beauty?
Yellow upon orange upon red upon blue.
Can you not feel my warmth?
Hot tendrils full of color reach out to stroke your cheek.
Lovingly?
You ask timidly, shying away from my touch.
Of course,
I reply, drawing you so tenderly into my arms.
You sigh, with a subconscious force that could put me out, forever.
I shudder.
You see,
I whisper, my lips pressed against your ear,
Even I am vulnerable.
You
turn, wrapping your small white arms around me,
golden hair
tickling my chin.
Then let me help you,
You reply, with added apologies to soothe the empty
hole where my heart should have been.
After all,
You continue,
it takes two nobodies to become
a somebody, right?
That's all it takes.
A single light,
a little warmth
To brighten
the world.
And all from,
A spark.
Bwa ha ha there you go!
Originally written for my English class. I didn't notice it was Akuroku until I re-read what I wrote and noticed the whole, "Flurry of the Dancing Flames" bit. LOL
