Rogue put down her needle with a sigh; the last one, she was done at last. She had spent hours darning ripped clothes and resewing buttons. Logan sure knew how to make a mess of things, but at last she was done. She had resown all his old clothes, and laundered everything else. Logan never was the type to have much money, and she knew that he would appreciate this.
Ashes to ashes
And dust to dust.
Forests to cinders
And iron to rust.
Rogue was on her way back to Logan's room with the finished clothes, and the freshly laundered linens, when she ducked into an empty room, hearing voices and not wanting to get caught.
In a labyrinth of lies
And a web of dreams,
Nothing is ever quite what it seems.
Jean laughed as she pushed playfully at Logan. "We really shouldn't be doing this, you know".
Logan gave her a feral grin, "scared of gettin' caught"?
Jean was silent a moment, "what about Scott...and Rogue"?
Logan gave her a cynical look. "What Scooter doesn't know, won't hurt him, and the Kid and I are just friends".
Logan moved in for a kiss, when Jean stopped him. "Maybe you should tell Rogue that. Some of things you say...".
Logan shrugged, "I say a lot of things, doesn't mean I mean any of them".
What was said next was lost, as the bundle Rogue had been carrying, hit the floor.
The sky is on fire,
The sea is aflame.
For all that I've done,
You know not my name.
Rouge's world shattered in an instant, and the earth crumbled beneath her feet.
Ashes to ashes
And dust to dust.
Forests to cinders
And iron to rust.
Cinders And Ash
Ashes to ashes
And dust to dust.
Forests to cinders
And iron to rust.
In a labyrinth of lies
And a web of dreams,
Nothing is ever quiet what it seems.
The sky is on fire,
The sea is aflame.
For all that I've done,
You know not my name.
Ashes to ashes
And dust to dust.
Forests to cinders
And iron to rust.
