Okay, this is my first attempt at a song parody. It's a bit dark, but it's based on Horatio's thoughts after Archie's death. It's a parody of the song "Monday Morning", by Prozzak. The original song is really sweet, and a lot of the original lyrics are preserved.
And of course, the usual disclaimers, CS Forester's estate and A&E own everything, I don't, wish I did, please don't sue...but send lots of reviews, please!
What could I do when my best friend died one day?
I watched his life force drain away.
I have to go on...taking command.
And how am I supposed to deal with everything
I've got to do
When I can hardly believe it's true?
I have to go on...taking command.
And I have to rise and do my duty today.
Without you...
Without you...
Jamaican morning.
And now you're gone and grieving is something that I
Can never do.
For I'm a friend but I'm an officer too.
I have to go on...taking command.
Though the light of your soul will always survive
They dishonoured your sacrificing life.
I have to go on...taking command.
And I have to rise and do my duty today.
Without you...
Without you...
Jamaican morning.
But I'm angry that this happened, I can never be the same.
And how can Fate who brought us together
Just come and take you away?
But I hope that you can understand me when I say
I have to go on...taking command.
I don't think I can do my duty, just for today.
Without you...
Without you...
Jamaican morning.
Without you...
