Shadows In the Dark

The day Harry decided to join the Death Eaters, he knew that he would never make a better decision in his entire life.

Ever since he'd been sorted into Slytherin in his first year, he'd eagerly awaited the day when he would join Voldemort's ranks.

For you see, Harry Potter didn't just agree with Voldemort's ways and actions. No, he was obsessed with the older and much wiser wizard, and had no problem making this known to anyone he came in contact with at Hogwarts.

He was one of Voldemort's most devoted Death Eaters in the years after Hogwarts, and it wasn't long at all before the two got together.

Currently, the two were sitting next to each other at the end of a long table, numerous Death Eaters occupying the other chairs.

They were in the middle of a Death Eater meeting, with Voldemort trying to figure out the best way to break into Hogwarts and finally destroy Dumbledore once and for all.

"We could use a Polyjuice Potion? One of us could disguise ourselves as a Hogwarts student and sneak in," Harry suggested, allowing one hand to rest on his frustrated lover's arm; they'd all been sitting here for hours trying to formulate some sort of plan, and it was clear that Voldemort was not at all pleased with the lack of progress that had been made.

"But then how would we be able to escape before Ministry Officials came and ruined all our plans?" Voldemort snapped back, a look of rage and frustration on his face.

"Right, that's it. You need a break," Harry replied firmly, releasing Voldemort's arm and pushing his chair back.

"I don't need a break. What I need to do is figure out how the hell I'm going to destroy Dumbledore!" Voldemort snarled out.

"Tom!" Harry stood up, crossing his arms over his chest and glaring at his lover. "Look at yourself. We've been here for four hours! You need a break. Now."

It might surprise you to know that the only person Voldemort was ever afraid of was not, in fact, Albus Dumbledore, but rather, Harry Potter when he was in a foul mood.

So with that, the Dark Lord surrendered, rubbing his temples exhaustedly before rising from his own chair. "We'll sleep on this and come back to it tomorrow."

The rest of the Death Eaters nodded, each one getting up and walking out of the room to make themselves comfortable in the many guest rooms of Lestrange Manor, where Bellatrix had graciously allowed the group to stay.

When the two were finally alone, Voldemort let out a long sigh, wrapping his arms around Harry.

"Sorry I snapped. He's the only wizard in the entire world that can make me so enraged."

"It's fine Tom," Harry replied pressing a kiss to his lips.

Voldemort sighed, finally able to relax and let go and enjoy this moment after all the stress of the day.

"I love you Harry," he murmured softly once the younger man pulled away to catch a breath.

"I love you too Tom. Always," Harry replied.

And there they stood, embraced in each other's arms, just two shadows in the dark enjoying a single peaceful moment in time before life would have to catch up to them again.
