Carla/Greg
a.n/ I do apologise for the rubbish title.
She walks into The Queen Victoria, or The Vic, as it was known to locals. Her throat tightens, craving a much needed drink.
Ever since the trial verdict, Frank being found Not Guilty, Peter not keeping his promise by leaving Leanne, Carla's willpower was now non-existent, having already downed a few glasses of red after making her way to London.
She doesn't know why she picked this place as her future home, full of crime, dirty streets, but she knows it will be better than feeling her heart clench as she sees Peter and Leanne on the street, or being constantly taunted by Frank, being left alone with him in that office everyday.
She just took up his offer of buying her shares, not wanting to stay a moment longer in the place which still held so many bad memories.
She hurries up to the bar, greeted by a man in high spirits and an odd choice of shirt.
"Ello love, what can I get you?" The barman grins, his smile a mile wide.
"Vodka and coke please," Carla replies, digging into her bag in search of her purse.
"Coming right up.." The man smiles, handing over the drink.
"Ta. How much again?"
"It's on the house for you, gorgeous," Alfie grins, before offering Carla his hand and introducing himself.
"Alfie Moon.. The lass over there," Alfie gestures towards Kat, "Is my wife Kat, and this 'ere," he smiles, producing a photo from his wallet "Is Tommy, my son."
"Now he is cute," Carla smiled, before downing her drink in one go.
"Another please.."
After numerous vodkas, Carla notices a man in his thirties, sitting on his on. Brown hair, blue eyes, completely gorgeous, but with a scowl on his face, staring at some couple in the corner. Carla follows the mans stares, looking behind her and seeing a blonde woman, and a balding man holding hands at a nearby table.
She guesses something has happened between them, a rift caused by an affair, or maybe something entirely different.
Before she can think rationally, Carla takes her glass and handbag and moves to sit near the man.
"Mind if I join you?"
a.n/ I do realise it's terribly short but this idea just came into my head so I'd eventually decided to write it. Reviews would be lovely, as I'd only continue if enough people were interested.
Reviews/Thoughts/Criticisms welcome!
