Do You Still
In the warmth of his bed he turned around and sighed. She still hadn't come home…He threw a pillow at the wall. Knocking, a picture of them to the floor. It shattered on impact. An hour later he woke to see her standing in front of their dresser. He wondered if his wife was alright.She didn't see him yet. He saw her walk over and pick up the picture running her fingers over the cracked frame. He swore under his breath for knocking the picture over. "Dammit", she said cutting her finger on the glass. "Did you break this"? She asked her back still to him. He was up and at her side grasping her hand and inspecting the cut on it. "It's just a little cut Seeley I'm fine," "why were you so late Bones its 11 already" he asked concern evident in his voice. When he finally met her eyes he noticed a fresh cut above her left eye. "Babe who hurt you"? He asked reaching his hand to her face. "Cam wasn't paying attention and she ran into me while I was going to put an artifact away, a sharp artifact at that" she responded. "Let's go in the bathroom and clean that cut up then" he told her. When he finally laid down in bed and she finally did as well. "Seeley can I ask you something" he turned to face her "of course anything you know that". "Do you really love me"? She was scared of her own question. Her eyes showed him so many emotions all mixed together. She seemed unsure. He reached a hand out and interlaced their hands together to soothe her a little bit. She turned to move away a bit. "Come back over here" it sounded almost like a plea when he said it like that. She couldn't deny him when he spoke to her like that. She looked in his eyes. They were beautiful to her. A lone tear slipped down her cheek. He wiped it away with the pad of his thumb. "Of course I do its forever now. You're my Bones always because HA you married me"! She leaned over and kissed him soundly on the lips. She snuggled into her husband's chest. Married three years and it still felt new and amazing. She placed his right arm across her middle. Her breath tickled his neck. "love you Seeley" she whispered in the dark. "Love you too goodnight, try not to be late tomorrow night ok"? Adding "threes a blonde curly haired, brown eyed, charm smiling 6 year old coming to she Bones and his dad". That made Brennan smile. "I know Booth I couldn't for get he calls everyday to remind me at work". He let out a short laugh and kissed her bare shoulder. Now they were content. They drifted off in similar happiness as he pulled her close in the soft glow of the room. It soon became still. The only sound was their even soft breathing.
