Darkcloud has lived the normal life of every warrior, until a dark secret plunges everything he had worked so hard to achieve into oblivion, and he finds himself drifting farther and farther away from sanity. The more he tries to rid himself of this secret, the more his paws get tangled up in it, and he finds himself slipping farther and farther away from the cat he used to be.

A/N: Hi, everyone! This is a collab with TheMysteriousArtist. It's also posted on the Warriors forums. :3 I know it's sorta short, but the next chapters will be a lot longer.

I calmly padded through the crowd of cats in the clearing of the tunnels, my paws making soft padding noises on the rock floor. This was it, the moment I had worked hard to achieve... hard meaning many cats have fallen to my claws.

I licked my lips and leaped onto the water-surrounded rock to address my Clan. My Clan. Words have never been sweeter in my mind until now.

"Cats of OceanClan," I began, having to raise my voice above the waterfall behind me, "I am your new leader. My word is law, and my word is that we will not turn to StarClan anymore, those dead cats don't care about us." I heard my clan gasp in shock, and murmurs of disapproval echoed through the cave, but I ignored them. How dense were these cats?

"If anyone is found worshiping these dead cats again, they will be banished...or worse. And now that we have that cleared up, there is another thing. We will attack LeafClan tomorrow, and anyone who does not join us will be killed." More shocked gasps. It was almost amusing. What naive souls; how could they not have seen it before? The only sensible one among them was Icepath. She saw how worthless StarClan was.

"Meeting adjourned." I leaped off of the Water Rock and steadily walked towards my den, ignoring the vicious looks my new Clan was giving me. I had tried once, and failed. This time I am leader, and my word is law.

I am Sunstar, leader of OceanClan. I have killed many cats to get here, and I am willing to kill more if my leadership is challenged.
