Pale Fanfiction (Peeta and Gale)
Our surrounding was beautiful, big lush forests, beautiful flowers, small lakes and rivers with water as clear as the sky. I loved coming here alone; it was the place I came to relax, to escape the torture of district twelve, the place where you could starve to death in safety. Today was different though, today I had brought someone else to this place, a friend of mine. Peeta Mellark. The victor of the 74th Hunger Games. He sat beside me, his blonde hair blowing in the breeze, his blue eyes gazing out over the clearing. He saw me staring at him and turned to look at me, and I almost melted under his beautiful gaze. He smiled and lay down beside me, gazing up at the clouds. Taking my hand I placed it on his and lay back, also smiling.
"Peeta" I whispered, his name rolled off my tongue, sweet and simple like I had said it many a time before. "Peeta, we could do it you know run off, live in the woods" I stopped as he turned his head and glared at me, I could see the fire in his eyes, he wanted to go, but he knew we couldn't, he couldn't.
"Gale" he said blinking his eyes slowly, "We wouldn't make it five miles, the capitol would find us, they have been watching Katniss and I ever since the games" sighing he added "They would not hesitate to kill us, even though we are the victors they can still take our lives away in a flash, and I don't want that to happen Gale. I don't want to die yet, I don't want you to die" Turning his head he gazed up at the clouds "I love you Gale"
I hesitated, I know I shouldn't have but I did. He had never said that to me before, I only assumed that he did, intertwining my fingers in his I lean over and plant a kiss on his lips. The lips I have dreamed about kissing for ages "I love you too Peeta" I say, leaning back I flash him a smile and gaze lovingly at him. "I will go where you go"
Peeta smiled up at me and gave my hand a squeeze; I squeezed his hand back reassuringly "Do you love me Gale? Real or Not Real?"
I smile at him and lean down to kiss him once more, "Real I say"
