Drabble – In The Future
I'm standing here talking as I look out your bedroom window. I am talking about the future and the plans we have, plans we have talked about and dreamed of.
We are going to raise our children together, grow old together and see more of the world.
My heart won't accept what my brain already knows, the future for us ended a second ago. My heart heard you leave but it won't believe, it can't comprehend.
Because you see, my beloved Phai, my future always included us, never just me.
Now my future is only empty and I am truly alone.
