I Had A Date
Steve really wasn't sure how to feel.
What would you feel, if you woke up and found out you've been MIA for 70 years?
Steve didn't know either.
"Yeah. Yeah, I just... I had a date."
At First, you want nothing to do with the strange world you were landed in.
But then fury came to you.
"Trying to get me back in the world?"
"Trying to save it."
And you, having your goddamn hero complex, had to agree.
So he joins the avengers,
Only to find out they are completely dysfunctional.
"You people are so petty... and tiny."
And then he comes,
"I thought we were having a moment."
And he helps you get used and involved in the world around you,
So you obviously start viewing things differently.
"An army. From outer space."
This world is so new and different,
But you can't help but love it.
"When I went under, the world was at war. I wake up, they say we won. They didn't say what we lost."
And its what you've been fighting for all along.
"At this point, I doubt anything would surprise me"
And you can finally be yourself,
Not Captain America,
Or even Steve Rogers,
Just Steve.
"There's only one God, ma'am, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't dress like that."
You start to accept the part of yourself you weren't really sure existed,
So when he takes your hand and informs you,
that the two of you are going to go out together,
You can accept with little to no fear of consequence.
"Yeah. Yeah, I just... I had a date."
Like the other one, I have no idea where this came out of. And the title is because... I suck at titles.
