Lily Evans was walking with some of her friends to her next lesson. However, her mind today was not at all set on school or any of the lessons. She had a lot to think about, because yesterday something had happened and now she really had to make up her mind. Yesterday, she went on her first date with James Potter.

'Silence,' professor McGonagall said when all of the class had settled down. 'Today we will have start on a new…'

This was all Lily heard, she stopped listening and put her mind on other business. She would now, in this lesson (not the most clever thing with McGonagall, but there was no other way), make a list of James' positive and negative sides and decide if she wanted to continue dating with him.

She grabbed her pen and a piece of paper. Then she began to write on two columns, one for positive and one for negative, pausing every while to think. This is what she came up with for negative:

Makes fun of and hexes anyone he doesn't like or is in his way

Arrogant

Keeps playing with stupid snitch

Makes his look untidy always

Hates Snivellus

Sometimes childish

…Damn I can't think of anything else

And this is the row she ended up with as the positive sides of James:

Handsome

Clever

Good at quidditch

Popular

Never stopped loving me (in other words, loyal)

Funny and makes me laugh

Nice friends

Sweet (or at least to me)

Serious (though only sometimes)

Tells the truth

Future ambitions

Good kisser (I guess)

Good at nearly everything he does in fact

Once she had wrote all of this down and read all of it over again, she was interrupted.

'Miss Evans, you clearly have other things on your mind, but please note that the lesson is over,' professor McGonagall told her quietly.

Lily looked up and saw she was the only one left in the classroom. She turned pink and quickly gathered her stuff together.

'Sorry professor, I promise it won't happen again,' she muttered.

Professor McGonagall gave her a little nod and there was a small smile playing on her face.

Lily walked out of the room, feeling rather stupid, but that was soon from her mind again. While walking through the empty corridor, someone was walking towards her from the other direction. It was no other than James Potter himself. Lily stopped dead and her mind went spinning again. She had made up her mind just in time for he now stood in front of her.

'Hi Lily,' he said grinning, though somehow he did look a bit shy.

Lily didn't care for the world anymore and did what she had to do. Without saying hello back, she leaned closer to him and kissed him on the mouth without hesitation. James was startled at first, but soon answered her kiss with passion. For seconds that contained an eternity, they just stood there not caring about anything around them.

'Er…well, I guess you liked our date yesterday,' James said once they stopped kissing.

'I certainly did and would love to go out with you another time,' Lily said grinning.

'Awesome,' was all James could reply.

'Shall we go to dinner?' Lily asked him.

'Sure,' James answered and grabbed her hand.

Lily just smiled and they walked to the Great Hall hand in hand. Within an hour all of Hogwarts had heard the news, after more than six years, James and Lily were finally together and all of them even knew about the kissing in the empty corridor.
