"Do you believe in angels?" Abby asked.

Tim looked up from his desk, noticing that Abby's attention was on the landing above them. He turned his gaze up there as well and frowned.

"Why do you keep looking up there?" he asked. "There's nobody there."

"You didn't answer my question," she pointed out.

He shrugged uncomfortably. "I don't really know," he said quietly. "Sometimes I do, and other times…"

Abby nodded. "Don't worry, McGee. I believe enough for the both of us."

She glanced back up at the landing, taking in the man and woman that she saw standing there. Dressed in all black, it would be easy to assume that they were a threat, but Abby didn't get that feeling from them. They weren't doing anything in particular – just standing there and looking down on the room. The man seemed to be taking everything in, but the woman was leaning heavily on the railing and had her eyes fixed on Kate and Gibbs.

Finally, the woman's eyes turned and she was looking straight at Abby. The gaze was intense, but she smiled softly and Abby knew that everything was okay.

Someone was watching over them.
