Hello Lovies! Sorry it's been awhile! I apologize greatly for that but I'm back And throwing you a Merlin and Eragon Crossover. Bear with me it, it's my first crossover and first time working , I hope you all enjoy.
Oh! Also before I go, I do not own Merlin And Eragon
"You promised." Merlin rocked on his heels as his eyes gazed out over the lake. His stomach lurched painfully, twisting in ways a stomach should not. He knew he should not feel angry towards Arthurs death. He knew why. And he also knew that one day, Arthur would raise again. So why did he feel this way? "You promised." He muttered again. As if he could answer his own question. but, of course, he could not.
He took a shaky breath, a single tear falling from his eyes as he stood to take his leave. He gazed out over the lake before turning on his heel and disappearing in the forest that held the trail that would take him back to Camelot. Not that he had anything to look forward to once there.
Gwen never left her bed room window. only, of course, to attend to important business about Camelot. Many worried about her. Though when Percival asked, Gaius only said to leave her be. Only time can mend a mourning heart. Even with that said, Gaius always made sure to visit her every evening.
"Melrin was not happy about the arrangement was he?" It was a statement. Gwen knew something happened between the two all those years ago but chose to play a blind eye. Gauis cocked a brow, knowing full well what she was meaning.
"Merlin just wanted his friends happy." He nodded slowly once, his brows know pulling together.
"But I did not make Arthur happy." Oh now the testing.
"Sure you did. Or else he would not have married you Gwen." So cleverly dodged.
"No, He married me because Camelot needed a queen." Her tone was harsh, her pitch raising as she spoke. "How long?" Now that was question. She turned to look at him.
"For... years now."
Gwen went quite. Her gaze shifted back to the view outside the window, and just in time.
Merlin walked towards the castle. His arms wrapped tightly around himself and the usual frown placed on his lips. "Sorry." He mumbled a thousand times as he bumped into people, his gaze never leaving the stone walkway. His mind was racing with different thoughts. ALways the same. How can he bring Arthur back. And, like everytime, his mind went back to the first time he asked Gaius this.
Flashback
"I'm going to bring him back." Tears streamed down Merlins face as he stared hard at Gaius. The old man just blinked at him, tilting his head at an angle with knitted brows.
"Now don't be stupid Merlin." He said calmly. His expression soften once he noticed that the boy in front of him started to shake. "I know you loved him..." Merlin stayed quite. He started to take shaky breaths after Gaius words. He knew the old man would not help him.
"Please." A pleading tone in the sorcerers voice. He was on the brink of a break down.
"I'm sorry Merlin. But you know very well why not." And that was it. Gauis would never change his mind. even if he was wrong, which which he wasn't, he wouldn't change his mind. Merlin narrowed his eyes, hardening his gaze.
"Fine." He huffed, stomping to his room and slamming the door behind him.
"Kids." Gaius shook his head and turned back to the work he was doing before Merlins outburst.
End Flashback
"Whoa! Hey there!" Merlin did not realized he had zoned out. only after he bumped into Percival. The knight held on to the boy to keep him from falling to the ground, his bewildered eyes searching the other.
"Sorry Percival.." Merlin turned his head, looking everywhere but him. Soon, though, his eyes landed on the lady in the window. Queen Gwen.
