A young girl was walking out in the middle of the night.
"Sonic why did you have to leave me? I loved you too much to lose you"
A single tear fell down her cheek.
"What's wrong?"
The girl looked up at the voice. A red echidna was standing next to her.
"Why are you crying"?
The girl inhaled deeply before replying.
"I lost the love of my life today"
The echidna sat down next to her.
"I'm Knuckles by the way"
"I'm Amanda"
Amanda made no move to greet him.
"(Clears thought) It's gittin' pretty cold out here do you have a place to stay?"
Amanda sadly shakes her head no
"Me and Sonic lived with his so called "Brother" and when Sonic died I had no where to live"
"He kicked you out?"
"(Shakes head no) I choose not to live there because it reminded me too much of him, my Sonic"
Tears streamed down her face as she spoke. Knuckles put an arm around her comfortingly.
"You could...live with me...If you want"
Amanda smiled for the first time since Sonics death
"I...Would like that"
"Good (Stands up) and who knows maybe Sonic is happy for you"
"Happy for me why?"
Knuckles smiles and leans in and gave Amanda a quick kiss.
Amanda smiles and stands up holding out her hand. Knuckles smiles and takes her hand.
When out of the cemetery Knuckles and Amanda walk hand in hand towards Knuckles house.
'Maybe he won't be so bad after all and who knows maybe Sonic is watching...and smiling down on me, and my new found friend.'
