Octavius was physically attracted to Jedediah - he would not deny this. His blond hair, blue eyes and fair skin entranced the Roman.
But, Octavius saw the appeal in many men. Some of his fellow Romans were rather attractive - not as handsome as Jed, but still good-looking. Their dark hair and eyes and sun-darkened skin.
And a handful of the western men were pleasing to the eye, too.
The Roman general could also see the appeal of a few of the larger people - Larry and Teddy were both handsome for men of their ages.
There was only one person in the museum that could match to Octavius' opinion of Jedediah, and that was Pharaoh Ahkmenrah.
—
Ahkmenrah's skin shone in the moonlight - the sun-bronzed colour a mouth-watering shade.
The small curls of hair, slightly poking out from underneath the crown atop the Pharaoh's head, were perfect, the colour working wonders with the man's complexion.
Above all, what had Octavius drooling, was the flat, toned stomach, visible for all to see.
—
"You're staring again." Jedediah teased, as he waved a hand in front of his Roman friend's face.
"Huh?" Octavius shook his head to clear it. "Oh. He's just gorgeous, is all. I'm appreciating beauty in all its forms."
"Or you have a crush on the Pharaoh." A slightly jealous tone.
"No, of course not." The dark-haired man was completely serious. "He might be attractive, but I do not know him enough for it to be a crush. And, anyway, I've already got a crush on you."
"Uhh…" The blond felt rather awkward.
"Oh hush." Octavius chuckled fondly. "I never thought I could make you speechless."
He leaned over the younger man, and placed a gentle kiss on his lips.
As he sat back again, the blond followed, copying the older man's actions, but, this time, a deeper kiss was shared between them.
"Who's more handsome, me, or Ahk?"
"You are the sun, and King Ahkmenrah is but the moon - both amazing and beautiful, but I long to see the sun more than I long to see the moon."
Octavius was rewarded with a kiss for this answer.
"I like it when ya' talk all poetical sometimes."
"And during other times?"
"That's when I ain't got a clue what you're saying!"
