Luka gazed out the window impatiently, waiting for Meiko to arrive. The rest of the vocaloids had gone on vacation, and Luka didn't want to be left home alone. To avoid that, she had invited Meiko over for a sleep over.
Meiko arrived within a few minutes. Luka rushed over the door, to let the brunette in the house. She entered and took off her shoes.
"Hi Luka!" she exclaimed cheerfully.
"Oh, Meiko thanks for coming," the pinkette replied," I'm glad you made it."
They chatted for a while, and then Meiko suggested they watch a movie. She had brought the newest horror movie to watch together. Luka hated scary movies, but she agreed anyways.
"I'll go make some popcorn," Luka suggested. She hurried into the kitchen without waiting for a reply. She was too busy worrying about the movie; she didn't want to embarrass herself in front of Meiko. Luka always left the impression of a tough girl, who wasn't afraid of anything. Secretly, however, she was a bit of a scaredy cat.
When Luka returned to the living room, carrying a huge bowl of popcorn and a plate piled with other snacks, they sat down to watch the movie. Luka was absolutely terrified. She looked around the house afraid that she might see a monster. When she looked back at the TV screen, during the worst part of the movie, she screamed. Without realizing it she reached down and grabbed Meiko's hand. The brunette's hand was warm to the touch, causing Luka to blush. Why did she feel this way; Meiko was her friend. Luka tried to believe that, but she knew it simply wasn't true. She had felt this way for a long time, but wanted to deny it. Luka tried to push those thoughts aside. She couldn't have those kinds of feelings toward her friend.
Meiko kept a grip on the pinkette's hand, and moved closer into Luka's side. This made Luka blush even more, her bright red face complimenting her pink hair.
"Just stop teasing me!" Luka shouted.
"What?" Meiko stuttered, looking surprised.
Luka burst into tears. Meiko would never understand the pinkette's feelings for her. Luka couldn't tell her for fear of being rejected. She got up, tears streaming down her face, and ran off to her room. Meiko stood still for a few moments, looking shocked. She made up her mind to follow Luka. She looked up to Luka, and would never want to see her hurt.
Meiko approached the pinkette's room. She opened the door to find Luka laying on her bed sobbing. "Luka please tell me what's wrong," she begged.
In response Luka cried more and buried her head in her pillow. Meiko sat on the bed. Slowly, she pulled the pinkette into a hug. Luka stiffened at first, surprised, but soon relaxed. She regained her confidence and returned the hug.
"Meiko, I'm sorry, I…"
"Luka, it's okay," the brunette interrupted.
Meiko rested her hand on the back of Luka's head and gave her a light kiss on the lips. Luka looked surprised, but began to kiss back. Slowly at first, but becoming increasingly passionate, the two girls kissed. Luka ran her tongue over the brunette's lips, asking for permission. Meiko moaned softly, allowing the pinkette to deepen the kiss. Their tongues struggled for dominance, as they kissed passionately. They continued kissing, stopping only to take breathes. Then, exhausted, they collapsed onto the bed.
"Luka, thank you," Meiko whispered.
"I'm glad we feel the same way," the pink haired girl replied.
They laid side by side, and fell asleep holding hands.
The next morning, the girls were awakened by two nosy twins. Len and Rin had come back early from vacation to spy on Luka and Meiko. They couldn't pass up this opportunity.
"Wake up sleepyheads," the twins said in unison.
"All right, we'll get up in a minute," Meiko told them.
As soon as the twins left, she pulled Luka into another kiss.
