A/N: Since Disney Infinity came out with a level based on my favorite Pixar film The Incredibles, I made this interesting backstory. Hopefully it becomes just as popular as that big fanmade crossover between Rise of the Guardians, How to Train Your Dragon, Tangled, and Brave.

Laney Penn had a secret. it was a secret so important, she couldn't tell anyone outside her family. Not even Corey. For you see, her older cousin was a hero. But not just any hero. A superhero, one with unnatural powers.

Her name was Violet Parr, but she was well known by her alias, InvisiGirl. Laney admired her for her bravery. According to her aunt Helen, Violet was shy just like her. She even wore her hair in front of her face. But after a grand adventure involving robots and some guy who ended up getting killed by his own cape (don't ask), she overcame her shyness and became the most popular girl in school.

And guess what? That's exactly what happened to Laney seven years ago. She was shy and hid behind her hair, but she overcame that with Corey's help. Sure she had to stop wearing dresses and style her hair so it looked shorter, but it was worth it. Like her cousin, she became well known in school, but it was because of her musical gift.

Except there was just one problem. Since the Super (which is what people in the city call superheroes) gene was hereditary, Laney ended up with it all because her mother was a carrier. So what was her power? The ability to become inflamed. At the moment, this only occurred when she was enraged. Luckily she tried her best to control in. Well...except that one time during Halloween. For most of the night, people thought she was wearing a costume when she was in her everyday outfit. Then the band groupies, Kate and Allie, made the same assumption, and... Well, she kind of...lost it.

"Hey! Scary Halloween costume."

"I'M NOT WEARING A COSTUME!"

For a brief moment, her whole body was inflamed. While she quickly calmed down and reverted back to normal, she saw what happened to her friends. Kin jumped into Kon's arms and Corey laid on the ground with his hands over his head. All three of them looked terrified. A worried look appeared on her face, and all she could think about was that her three only friends saw her accidentally activate her power. It was a good thing their attention shifted back to their zombie problem.

After that incident, Laney decided that when she had some time to herself, she would practice her power. Over time, she got better. She learned how to surround herself in a fire sphere, manipulate flames into various objects, and shift a small portion of her powers to an ally for either a power boost or to heal them. Her main flame form also changed, making her look more developed. She hoped that when she was older, she could team up with her cousin and fight crime.

And yes, maybe she would tell Corey, Kin, and Kon what really happened on that one Halloween night.

The End
