It's been a while since anything bad has happened. So everything was somewhat... back to normal.
Lunch hour with all my friends, made it seem like everything was back to when Darkness hadn't come out of the Otherworld realm and wrecked havoc on our slice of Earth. Our group inquired 2 new people, a girl named Selene, to whom was Rephaim's half sister -and way older-. The other was a boy named Michael. He was Marked only just last week.
I was just thinking, that we haven't seen Selene for a while until she came bounding up to the table
"Hey guys!" she called happily, like something exciting was on her mind. I seen Rephaim look up at her as he was nestled next to Stevie Rae, holding her hand before raising an eyebrow. Stevie Rae giggled softly
"Hey Selene."
"Hi!" Jack greeted as he sat in Damien's lap. Michael waved at her as she sat down across from him. Shaunee and Erin both smiled at her but hadn't said a word. Aphrodite rolled her eyes,
"Goddess, whatever it is. I'm sure I can find a manicurist that can file my nail beds better than whatever is brewing up in her mind." Aphrodie let out an exasperated sigh falsely checking her perfectly manicured nails. Selene rolled her eyes
"Ok, Aphrodite? maybe you can like, oh I don't know... paint your nails elsewhere? your stupidity is like, oh I don't know. Contagious." she spoke, acting snotty. Aphrodite scoffed and looked at her with that look
"Listen, I don't care if your the daughter of Nyx. One more word and I will rip that raven black hair straight out of your head." Aphrodite hissed
"Oh for goodness sake- can't you be nice if not civil?" Stevie Rae said. I shook my head and looked over at Selene
"So what's up? you look like you have something on your mind." I asked as Stevie Rae and Aphrodite went into an arguement while Rephaim was in the middle watching the cat fight unfold
Selene's lips upturned in a cocky grin before she announced, "I lost The Game."
That made the two fighting girls stop and look at her
"What?" Aphrodite raised an eyebrow
"Game?" Stevie Rae spoke. Rephaim just blinked in confusion
"What game honey?" Damien asked. Jack had her full attention. I was confused as well, even more so as she started snickering
"Your all thinking about it right?" she asked. We all had nodded and she snickered some more, "Now you have lost the game."
"Ooh! A thinking game. Those are fun. So how do we play?" Jack asked excitedly
Selene smiled at all of us and began to explain what this 'game' was.
"Ok, so When you think of the game, you lose immediatly. When you lose the game, you have to tell people you lost so that they lose the game as well. Once you start playing the game, you never... ever... ever stop playing the game."
"That's retarded." Aphrodite spoke and flipped her hair back
"That's... interesting." Rephaim said after a moment of thinking about it. Selene grinned and looked at each of us
"So you all lose the game and have to start over. And remember, don't think about the game or else you lose all over again." she said and got up as the bell rang for our next class. With that, the whole group dispersed
Walking out to the stables, my mind wandered. Thinking about Stark, mucking out Persephone's stall before giving her a nice brush down.. Then the thought hit me. I just lost the game...
Ah, hell.
Thank you thank you. Please review and I may give you a big giant cookie :3
