Renee kept screaming, trying to pull away from the guards who still held her captive.

"This is ridiculous! Not to mention preposterous! We're not even in the courtroom anymore, you can let me go."

"That little stunt was not supposed to be part of your testimony," one of the guards sternly told her.

"It made it even better! Gosh, you all needed a little drama to lighten things up," she told them.

"Judge said we were supposed to punish you," another curly-haired guard said.

"Punish me? How?"

When they held it out, she started backing away, shaking her head. "No, nah-huh, not going to happen, boys. There is no way that I'm – AAAUUUUGGGHHH! You can't do this to me!"

A while later, Renee had resigned herself to the fate of having to wear this…this…this costume in public. The toga-like garment was one thing, the arrows and bow were another. But her hair? Did they really have to take out the hair-style she had worked so hard on and frizz it up and curl it all so much?

As she looked in the mirror at herself and then glanced at the others, she couldn't help but pout and whine. "How come I don't get wings and a halo, too?"

"Cause you're a cupid in training," one of them quipped.

She scowled.

As the minutes passed and they all sat there, waiting, Renee grew more and more bored. She wanted to know what was going on in the courtroom. Everyone else got to watch Harm and Mac be set up and embarrassed, why couldn't she take some part in that?

Just then, the door to the courtroom opened.

"Got a witness who's too short. Need some phone books," the bailiff said.

Without a word, one of the guards handed Renee a stack of phone books and pointed to the door.

She scowled at them all again, but stomped out into the courtroom. She did not deserve this kind of treatment, she thought, as the courtroom filled with small giggles and laughter.
