I woke up this morning with the strange urge to watch Spirited Away (and to bake, but that's irrelevant at the moment. Just know that as I write this I am eating a delicious muffin.), and, as is inevitable when watching this, I couldn't help but feel that it hadn't completed itself. I had to fix that, so I wrote up this short little fic. There was a plan to make this three chapters, but I learned that I don't do fluff well unless I can have angst too, so this is and will forever be the only chapter to remain posted for this fic. I hope you enjoy it.

Disclaimer: I do not own Spirited Away, or any of the characters associated with it.

It had been two years sense Chihiro had left Haku behind, promising not to look back. Ever since then her thoughts always turned back to him. He had filled her thoughts and dreams in every spare moment.

It hadn't taken her long to fit in at her new school, and had given herself the nick-name Sen. Due to the somewhat withdrawn nature she had unconsciously taken on, she was an enigma, and hence sought by the boys. She had turned down each one, telling them "I'm waiting for someone else."

But she was starting to wonder if she would ever see him again. He had promised that he would see her again, but it had been two years and she still had not seen him anywhere outside of her dreams.

At the moment, Chihiro was sitting in math class staring blankly at the algebra equations on the board. She sighed quietly and sat back in her chair. "Haku, where are you?" she whispered under her breath, looking out the window to the blue sky.

"Sen, what's wrong?" asked one of her new friends, Sekishi.

"Nothing. I'm just tireed I guess," she said, turning back to face her. Sekishi shrugged her shoulders.

"Aren't we all? Hey, Sen. Do you understand any of this? I can't figure it out for the life of me. Why do we need imaginary numbers and regular numbers?" she said, rubbing her forehead in frustration. Chihiro laughed.

"Sure, I'll help you. Here, look. All it is is the square root of a negative number. It helps you use the regular root to solve the problem."

"I meant explain it in a language I can understand. As in the absence of math."

"Ok, let's try this again…"

"Hello, Chihiro." A voice said from behind her. The class suddenly got quiet and Chihiro noticed Sekishi's eyes get larger as she looked above her head. Chihiro gasped as she recognized the voce. Turning around slowly, her eyes met with a loose fitting white top tied up with sky-blue ribbons. She moved her eyes upward and saw the tips of dark green hair. She paused a moment, preparing herself for what she hoped to see.

His face.

It was him at last. After all these years.

"Haku…" she said, still unsure if she could really believe her eyes.

"Yes, it's me. I'm sorry I took so long. It took much more convincing to get Yubaba to let me leave. Rin says she misses you."

"Oh Haku! I can't believe it!" Chihiro exclaimed, standing up from her desk and throwing her arms around the form of the dragon-boy. Whispers erupted from the people around her, and the teacher seemed to be unable to bring herself to say anything.

Chihiro was oblivious to all of it. She was lost in the warm embrace of the only person who she had ever loved, and the one she had been so afraid she had lost.

"Chihiro, I've missed you so much," Haku whispered in her ear as he held her tighter.

"I love you, Haku."

"I love you too."

And together the two of them stood there, satisfied with simply being. It had been so long, but they were together again at last.
