In the wizard world, magicians are looked poorly upon, as the outcasts of their world. That is why you have not yet heard the story of Evelyn (Lyn) Jane Pervinski, the trusty magician of the Order of the Phoenix. Here is how the story really goes.

The cool, crisp air in London bit at Lyn's face and she shook the rain off of her slick black feathers. She cawed at a running child and sat, blinking, waiting. She fell into the rhythm of her surroundings, listening for something foreign, something... Whoosh! Lyn leapt off of the fence to investigate the sound. She flew to the bush the sound had come from and landed on the dew-dipped grass. As soon as she had rested comfortably, two large hands grabbed her.

Lyn wriggled and cawed as any bird would have, had it been harshly captured as she had. A coarse laugh sounded in her ears and she turned to be greeted by the less attractive one of Moody's eyes. "Calm yourself Pervinski! No need to attract attention." he said. Lyn bit Moody's hand and he cursed, releasing the black bird. She crash-landed on the soft grass and shook her body. Her feathers shimmered and she stood up, stretching her human limbs. She heard a gasp but ignored it, addressing Moody, "You could have been gentler. That was animal cruelty."

Moody shook his head, amused. He turned to a boy standing next to him, "Potter, this is-" Lyn interrupted, acknowledging the young wizard for the first time, "Evelyn Jane Pervinski, official spy." Harry smiled wearily at the girl, obviously uncomfortable being with an 'official spy'. Moody nodded toward a building, "Let's get inside before someone kills us shall we? Then we can continue with the introductions." Harry looked at Lyn who shrugged.

With that, Moody led the group to the street.
